This is much better then the last two articles this guy wrote. The new tablet controller can be used for traditional gaming I believe. It has two sticks and face buttons. From there it is up to developers to actually put out games that are more traditional. Then again if you want traditional gaming then get a Sony or Microsoft system. Nintendo has always pushed the envelop and getting one of their consoles has almost never been traditional. (Gamecube as exception of course.)
I do agree the online service needs to come. Although it doesn't need to be a main priority. To me that is the problem with the current generation of gaming. So much work goes into online gaming that local gaming is boring and useless. I miss the days of split screen, co-op. Developers just make single player experiences and I want a living, breathing person playing with me that I can talk to. Even with shooters, I want a good online and offline co-op experience. To me, Halo and Gears did this the best. More games need to be like this. I also would like to see some RPG's like this. Killing that dragon was fun, but I wish I could have shared that moment with someone else, or even my friend right next to me. I mocked Nintendo in the past for not doing online, but now I can see where offline is just as important and it needs just as much attention.
Yea I have to agree with most of the people who have already said it; this is true in not only this type of game, but every game. Some games even goes as far to give you a very big hint, or even beat it for you.
"Not really a MK twist to it, but a MK twist to it." I love it. It looks like a darker universe and I like it. There doesn't need to be blood, but it needs to be brutal. I watched one video and I wasn't buying it. Right now I think I might.
@Kuro_Getsuga Having a more integrated dash is fine. Having the market integrated into is not fine. I know that M$ doesn't own any of the rights to those things. Although, most of the things that he listed are what M$ is already doing.
The only reason Sony, and M$ decided to get into the motion gaming side of things was because of the success of the Wii. They didn't want to copy directly, they just wanted some of the pie that they were bringing in. Whoever thought up the Move probably said, "Nintendo's Wii is doing really good. Maybe we should get that for our system as well."
Look at what he is asking for and then look at what is in and on the xbox. They are very identical and they don't need to be done in order for Sony to dominate the next gen.
@Kuro_Getsuga SHOOTERS AREN'T THE ONLY GAMES OUT THERE. Why would they change the controller for one genre? That makes no sense. I understand things need to change, but to change something over of genre of game? That is crazy.
I trust Sony will change and do things in a way that won't be cumbersome to its gamers. You are correct in saying that no one said that the ps4 should be the next xbox, but everything from this article is implying that Sony should change things with their console that are very closely related to the set up of a xbox. I also feel the market is fine just the way it is. It has its own tab, and it also has the little bar at the top right next to the time. Would it bother me if it was bigger? Not at all. What I am trying to say here is that the writer of this article made suggestions that the next playstation needs to have many of the same attributes of the xbox, which it doesn't. If you read my first comment you can see that I don't jump to any conclusions and just point out where the writer is wrong. It was in responding to you that I made the first statement about the ps4 being like the xbox.
