@Soulreavercross But they started this whole thing claiming how integral the Kinect was to functionality, so getting rid off it completely would be admitting how big of a lie that was. Oh wait, like always-online.

Between a few cool games, and the appeal of freebies and discounts from PS+, I would like to own a PS Vita. But $350, plus those very expensive cards, is too much. It would be much better (for me? hopefully Sony, too) for Sony to drop the price significantly to get some market penetration and have a community saying positive things about the console. Then put the price back up a little. That would also sell more games, giving more reason to own one.

@lonesamurai1 Are you that insecure in your self that you need to go on console pages and comment about how much better you are for not liking consoles? Everyone just thinks you're a d**k. You are being a d**k. Please go replenish your self-esteem elsewhere.

@55584623 @freedom01 I wouldn't even say their is any chance of a non-Kinect system. However, when you set up the box it will give you apparently comprehensive privacy settings for the Kinect. In addition, you can pause/turn-off the Kinect whilst playing so it is non-interactive and doesn't record any data, but you can't disconnect it entirely. Hope that helps a bit.

@Hellhound30x MS lack any semblance of clarity of vision for this new console, and have put core consumer needs to the back of the pile. That's why they introduced the box with such unpopular features, failed to explain why they were useful, failed to coherently explain the purpose and future direction of the box, and why they continue to be so out of touch with consumer expectations.

I have nothing against the XBox itself, but I have no idea how someone would be happy to part money to a company so far behind the ball?

@HowlPendragon @demonkingx5 I don't even play online MP, but I've definitely been using PS+ for the hundreds of dollars of free games it offers me constantly.

One thing Bots seem to not realize is that changing your opinion over time doesn't make you a hypocrite, it means you are flexible. A hypocrite is someone who exhibits opposing values for themselves and others simultaneously.

@TirOrah The limitations will be for everyone. A few developers I've heard have expressed interest in being able to disable scenes that contain major plot reveals, or major bosses, for a limited time after release. Most said like the first couple of weeks only, then all restrictions would be lifted.

@Sorrow_Echo The reality is that if you didn't game you would just find something else to fill your time. You wouldn't be curing malaria whilst climbing Mt Everest, you would at the pub with a friend, or reading a book or gardening, or bird watching or something else to fill the parts you're not working or sleeping. I'm glad gaming choose to be my hobby. Even though the experiences happen through the conduit that is your TV, they're just as real as anything that will happen to you outside.
