@SimplyFatal Stop being a hater. Are you really going to claim hes not into the game when he knows it has to be yennifer because shes wearing black and white and picks up on geralts daughter? Obviously hes more into it than 99% of the people who play it so stop being a wiseas.

Theres a reddit discussion on when you pause the trailer at a specific frame you see a message to the audience. Not sure if it was the stream or the e3 trailer. You should go have a look :)

Saying "Watch dogs gets Uplay", makes it seem like a benefit...

More accurate would be "Watch dogs forces Uplay down gamers throats while we choke and gag".

@nl_skipper @jeremy- Problem is when you are heavily invested, they cant do journalistic passion projects. They have to put their journalism budget where they will get the most views and therefore get an advertising return in investment.

So, i hate copy+paste articles as much as the next guy, but it would be dumb to fly out now because too much is under NDA's.

What they SHOULD be doing is being like "hey CDPR, later in the year, give us the FIRST look with new content and videos and stuff and we'll give you front-page for 7 days"... So essentially waiting to invest until they will actually get a good return.

If GS dont do this, somebody else will, and i'll see it on /r/games . So for me it doesnt matter who does the story.

Do you remember it was like Eurogamer or something had 30 days of witcher 3, and they had new snippets coming out every day for that time. They did that because they were smart with negotiating, and this was around the W3 announcement, i imagine it was a very savvy journalism choice.

@thebigo3d Actually Polygon copy + pasted from an Australian news paper... SMH, the "Sydney Morning Herald", where a journalist from this Australian newspaper actually visited and interviewed CDPR.

So polygon and GS are just as bad as each other.

@wingiehai @jeremy- I see your point. I think if there was ever a case for two reviewers for a game, this is it.

One for Southpark fans: Did it meet the expectations of the franchise, what are the auxillery gameplay mechanics like, story compared to series, comedy compared to series.

One for people who dont currently watch soutpark: General game review... some discussion on aspects of the humor and story so you can tell if you would like it.

We've seen double reviews becoming more common, you never know.

@wingiehai I'm not 100% with you on that.

I'm all for 'reviewing for the genre'. Example, so even though i dont like platformers, if you are comparing a platformer score to an RPG, i understand the reviewer needs to analyse the game based on THAT genre. which is how something like Super Meat Boy gets a 9.5 when i cringe to look at it.

However, I disagree that you should call 'franchises' a genre. So, like judge it based on the people who liked that franchise. I think its a FACTOR in the review, but not a genre so to speak.

The new Rambo game might have had funny dialogue (it didnt), but you arnt going to review based on that, you are going to review it as a crappy rails shooter. Transformers games are not going to be judged on their cutscenes, they will be judged on crappy action gameplay.

So, this would be an RPG... you might wanna throw in thats its a comedy RPG... appealing to people who like Southpark. The entire review should not be subjective to people who already like southpark.

As somebody who doesnt watch southpark, I'm walking into the review wanting to know if its generally funny, having not watched southpark in a while, I also want to know if its generally a good RPG.

You are walking into it wanting to know if you will like it if you like southpark. You can probably figure this out from the trailer.

@brihtwulf He never said he didnt like the combat, just that it was too easy. I havnt played the game but ive watched a few reviews and there seems to be some consensus on this.

No need to go calling him an "old man", he is calling the review like he sees it and i think a lot of people (including myself) will agree with his scoring. I like the occasional southpark episode because its occasionally done some of the best satire on TV... but not a huge fan of some of the repetitive toilet humor, which this game seems to crutch on.

Metacritic shows IGN gave it a 9 and they praised everything about the game including the repetitive toilet humor and simple paper mario style turn based combat. This shows how different sites angle to different demographics and neither is more valid than the other.

@jsgreenduck787 @jeremy- My Thief copy that I ordered from amazon for PS4 arrived today. Played it for 2-3 hours. Only payed $60 including shipping because of discounts. I find the game to be amazing.

The graphics are stellar, the gameplay is amazing. Playing it on Master difficulty and killing 100% of units rather than stealthing. This combination of playing the game like this is amazing, I find it to be very challenging and enjoyable.

I'm also surprised at comments about the linearity of the game as the main city has so many sprawling places to loot requiring all manner of upgrades and devices that its still very interesting at my current progress level.

You sir have bad taste >)
