@Zombie8814: heres the thing with ps5. if if if scorpio can pull off 4k native at 60fps....or close to 4k upscaled at 60fps. there will be literally no tangible difference in the ps5 even if its 30% faster.
I kind of expect scorpio to perform like my 1080gtx rig did with a few specs turned down like shadows from ultra to high, no msaa......i know i may be off but ms and developers are saying they can do 4k native at 60fps with the hardware specs......
above 60fps kinda useless for most people and almost all 4k tvs only support 60fps at 4k anyway. i upgraded from 1080 gtx to titan x. i bet .1% of all humanity would spend any extra money to get to the difference from 1080gtx to titan x for gaming.......
thats how i see the road block for something faster than scorpio. the jump after 4k native at 60fps is a harder sell.
the key of course will be how scorpio performs. I can tell you that it will be a long time before i upgrade from my titan x.......im cruising at 60fps 4k on most games....on ultra.
i just dont see a wow difference between 1080 gtx on very high settings vs titan x ultra settings for the masses to buy in to.
this is how i see something after scorpio....ps5 will be a good opportunity maybe to support higher res vr option 2 years down the line. maybe scorpio will not support???

upgrading comparable graphics card is about $600....thats scorpios top end price probably. And never in my life did i stand in line with console in hand thinking "glad i wont have to buy another one for years".....who the hell thinks like that...

@lram45: 720p vs 1080p noticeable.......960p vs 1080p not so much....so much of the sony ponies made big deal of nothing....it hurt xbox in that it had some terribly unoptimized 3rd party games at launch that did look poor vs sony....that tangible difference is gone......now the question is ps4 pro difference between scorpio tangible and i say yes, but only if........only if.......

only if ps4 pro cant do 1440p at 60fps....upscaled of course.
xbox allows developers to use power as they deem best....
there is some but not a discernable difference between 1440p and native 4k and if scorpio could use that extra power to add more environmental elements, physics, whatever. i say do that.....
as of right now though i have a titan pascal.....in the only games i cant do at least 50fps or so i turn down the aa then shadow detail a bit and i literally cant tell. 4k native better with those turned down then 1440p with those up...there are other settings that have similar trade offs with resolutions.
thats where i think the developer needs freedom......if not the gamer.....
Hell i enjoy messing with setting and fps numbers more than the actual games.....
@deviltaz35:win 10 was free and fine. im it person at work and use 7......at home 8 was fine and 10 is just as fine....seriously whats the damn issue with upgrading for free....
anyone have any idea if or when ps4 pro is coming out or to be more precise if when any current games will be patched to take advantage.....like say uncharted4.......i have a sony 930c.....dont really get any benefit from just upscaling on the ps4 pro as i already have the best sony upscaler....
also anyone interested in a tv i know a guy........

@pongleyCHROME still broke........I switched from chrome to firefox cause i found zero solution to an ongoing problem over a year now for tons of people....its all over support forums. no help. basically you cant type anymore...you have to hit the windows key 2 times then it works for awhile then it happens again.....every work around hasnt worked for many. no issues any other program. i like chrome but i switched all of my work pcs to firefox and my phone. if anyone knows of a fix let me know....but ive tried the uninstall reinstall, wireless not wireless keyboard, setting default search engine in address bar, getting rid of this and that. blah blah blah. chrome bye bye.
@howthegodzkill: i have it on pc for looks but cant stand using mice keyboard so id love a competent skirmish for all modes.....and considering the pc community is disappearing for most modes that would make sense....
