the last spiderman with andrew garfield was probably the worst movie ive ever seen. I didnt really like toby either but at least i could stomach the movies a bit. Spiderman movies are dreadful compared to the dark knight works.......i have a very low pain threshold as it comes to bad movies, i will watch anything. Spiderman (andrew garfield) was the worst movie ever. ever. ever. ever.
what is interesting is i bought a combo psu 980ti to get a day one release of the 980ti and i probably needed it. maybe not.....it would seem that given how much less power this 1080 needs there will be far less psu upgrades happening this gen for nvidia...with the greater single card performance and less power needed. double wammy...wonder how this will effect evga for example given that gaming psus are a good portion of their business....
i have a 980ti overclocked and this review baffles me. It was like this article was written to come up with as marginal gains as possible. Almost to steer people from considering the 1080....not in his words but his methodology and numbers. why would you test a stock card on basically 1st release drivers against an overclocked card...............ESPECIALLY when the 1080 uses less power and runs cooler and in theory is easier to OC especially for the less skilled. an apples to apples comparison yields 25 to 35% gains over a 980ti....not the 10% shown here.....if you are overclocking your 980ti then your gonna overclock your 1080. actual numbers in other reviews are more accurately display the differences in the cards. The only way this review would have any purpose if if the 1080 was already proven to not overclock at all very easily......just review against the 980ti or put at least some effort into oc the 1080. other sites have done so with no problem, even super aggressive overclocks with the fan only to come up with 45% gains over 980ti....i would say add 15% to the 1080 numbers here and you have a reasonable comparison
@third_twin: this is the worst worst performance numbers for the 1080 ive seen in any review. at least the delta between 1080 and 980ti oc.......when accounting for a marginal oc on the 1080 other reviews show a 30-40% delta over a 980ti stock....makes no sense in doing a review of an oc card vs a non oc card....especially when the non oc card takes less power and runs cooler and is easier to oc in theory.....
@haze0986: amd will never rise......sure people will want to go away from the gorilla nvidia cause thats what some personalities do. Like to go away from the norm....or perhaps to save a bit of money, but enough people in each hardware gen get burned by amd sloppy drivers late drivers, or simply not gurus enough to make amd work, and then become nvidia fanboys reluctantly.
@NoahRoalson: yep....thats why battlefront on my pc is sitting still and why i imagine the servers are somewhat empty on pc. by not having aim assist at all on pc they have basically "Thumbed" their nose at anyone that likes to use a controller and has a pc they would rather play on. You hearing this EA and PC elitists........your servers are empty cause you have split your customer base......i actually can use a mouse quite well on my battlefront game but i prefer not to use it.....
