I absolutely refuse to believe you used "your" instead of "you're" four times in one post.
Wow man, GJ.
2/10 sir. I think that's a little on the generous side.
Diablo 3 isn't a bad game, but it unfortunately has far too many problems for me to continue enjoying it.
Hopefully, Blizzard will take a look at these issues and do the right thing. As of right now, the game is heading in the wrong direction IMO.
There's always hope!
[QUOTE="Selkc"]So its worth 77$ or not? What do you look for in this kind of game? It's hard for anyone to answer that question when they're not sure what you look for. IMO I'd pay about $30-40. $60 is a tad bit excessive.the first play through youll be smiling the whole time

It's a Blizzard game, any game they make gets a lot of hate everywhere, while reviews are out of this world, communities are huge, millions enjoy their games every day and most people play hundreds of hours of them before taking a break.[QUOTE="c4l1d3n"]
Glad my friends and I decided to go with Torchlight II. The negative reviews and feedback for Diablo 3 just keep coming.
DanielDust
Take a look at the general forums for Diablo 3.
To sum it up nicely, Blizzard designed an auction house, then built a game around that.
The game does not fool you into anything. It is what it is. If you don't like it then it's not for you.@
Filip: Yeah, I guess that could be it, but it really left a sour taste in my mouth when I quit, like I felt I wasted all my time. Possibly how you felt after playing hundreds of hours on WoW, lol. Would not wish this game upon others!

Well I like sci-fi and I LOVE the idea of the game, so... I guess it wasn't really wasted but I can't recommend the game. According to xfire I actually played 200 hours hehe..
The game really fools you into thinking it's awesome because the visuals are amazing, the menus are very nicely presented, and its kinda neat how open world it is. But eventually I realized there is such a disconnect between those visuals and the gameplay, and when that finally clicked in my head I could barely even log in cause it completely killed the game for me.
Even the open-world space travel map is not really 3 dimensional. It's 2D linear branched pathways, which is pretty lame.
True_Sounds
Thank god the travel map is not one huge open world. Imagine how ridiculous that would be. If you knew anything about this game you would understand how that would of been the worst idea ever.
That's debatable, and I don't agree that it presents itself as it is. In my opinion it hides the core simplicity behind the illusion of 3 dimensional space and pretty graphics. I don't see the upside to the space combat, and the navigate-by-menu type text-based travel, which you completely ignored.
And to actually help people decide whether it's for them, here's an example of a day in Eve:
When you leave high-sec space, maybe because you found a really good deal in a remote spaceport, you could get sieged inside by a player run pirate corp that had set the price so low as a trap, and has members camping outside 24/7. They could demanding a heavy toll to let you out safely, and it might take weeks until they piss off the wrong people and get temporarily forced out of the area. They are camping the only two warp points so there is no way to leave that 'instance'. This is just one example of how things could go down. Your possibilities are really endless.

The vastness sounds pretty awesome and in some ways it is, but unless you are a hardcore player the game is just a giant troll and I'd say probably 50-75% of the game is just waiting to slowly fly between warp checkpoints, and the rest is clicking menus and hotkeys relatively mindlessly.
Interesting, did you ever play in a 0.0 alliance? If so, which one and how much time did you spend there? But before you answer that I'd like to address the 2d map. Making the map 2d (even though you can unflatten it) is an incredibly smart design decision that makes traversing the universe much easier. Eve absolutely presents itself as it is, it's an open world sandbox sifi with actions that have consequences. You can have major fleet battles or be a market guru. Whatever floats your boat. This is how eve is marketed. "It's has terrible gameplay in my opinion. It's all essentially bound to your function keys and ingame menus, and the visuals play no part in the gameplay. You select enemies in menus, you select locations in menus, you shoot enemies by turning on autoattack in your function bar, everything is done in menus. You might as well be playing a text based game because that is the extent of the gameplay." "It's all essentially bound to your function keys and ingame menus" -right, so this is a lie. the keyboard has many many shortcuts and keybinds for you to use, not just the function keys. I guess that's why you used "essentially" right? "You select enemies in menus, you select locations in menus" -This is true. "you shoot enemies by turning on autoattack in your function bar, everything is done in menus" - It seems like you enjoy hyperbole. You do shoot enemies by turning on autoattack. That part is true. Although the "everything is done in menus comment" is a great example of exaggeration. A lot of things are done outside of menus. Have you ever flown an inty? I'm clicking like a madman whenever I get into an inty dogfight, trying desperately to out-maneuver my opponent. Theres more to this game than right-clicking and menus. " You might as well be playing a text based game because that is the extent of the gameplay." -Extreme exaggeration. Eve is certainly worth a try, although it is not for everybody. Give it a decent chance. People that play half a game and go on to say it's like playing a text based game aren't the people to listen to.[QUOTE="RossRichard"]
Didn't EVE Online have one of their player-elected officials named Mittiani or something trying to talk a guy into killing himself in real life during a CCP fanfest? My vote goes to that guy.
sloakz
Thats some stone cold s**t, He could be king of the douchebags maybe?
Oh, that's a good one. Mr. Mittens is pretty much a douche.Anyone that plays MOBA games. Every. Single. One.
If someone ****s up, it's always someone else's fault. It's absurd. The amount of crying in those games could drown a city. It's like playing with a bunch of 10-year-old rich kids with mommy issues.
Why did I roll a barbarian!? Man, melee gets shafted hard in every game.:(
I struggle to compete in nightmare, I can't even imagine inferno.
