Your statement is wrong, this is the 3DS's version's expansion, meaning this is a re-re-release of Hyrule Warriors. Here's betting that Fire Emblem Warriors tanked in sales, which is why they're porting over a 3DS game with enhancements using the Wii U's engine and the 3DS's expansion.
@v1ndictive: By that same logic since it was on the 3FlopDS too, because this is the 3DS's expanded version ported over, not the original Wii U's version, it only uses Wii U's engine.
I got the tissues ready for the Nintendo fanboys whose tears are now filling up rivers across America as their beloved Switch failed to top the charts in November, as well as their beloved 3DS no longer being able to take the claim as the best selling system on the market (it came out 2 1/2 years before the PS4 so you knew that'd be a short-lived claim by Reggie).
Uh, in the video, if this was something they wanted from 5 years ago, the 3DS would have been DOA. Somehow people forget in 2012 after the 3DS flopped in 2011 causing a massive decrease in price, it gave Nintendo its first ever financial loss (look it up, Nintendo reported their first ever loss in April, 2012, the Wii U didn't launch until November, 2012, that loss was due to the aging Wii/DS lines and the 3DS's abysmal sales meaning they had to drop the price and take substantial losses on it- https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2012/apr/26/nintendo-posts-first-loss-30-years).
So, think about it, with the 3DS floundering in 2012, and the Switch coming out that year instead of Wii U, there would have been no reason for people to buy the 3DS, the Switch would have killed that and the Vita. Smartphones likely wouldn't have been taking such a large bite out of the handhelds either, because Nintendo would have had a hybrid that works as both home and handheld. This is the product of Iwata combining the 2 development teams (handheld/console) in 2013, it gives the power of an HD system (Wii U) in the palm of your hands- despite fanboys, the main unit of Switch is pretty close to that of an XL, so take the Joy Cons off if you really want to pocket this thing, because it fits into the same pocket an XL would, and the Joy Cons are small enough, stick them into another pocket!
@thedud3abides: not every 2 years, they've been remaking 3DS in some way every year from the 2011 original to the 2012 XL to the 2013 2DS to the 2014/2015 New 3DS/XL, to 2016 New 3DS (US limited edition bundles) to the 2017 New 2DS XL.
@PETERAKO: Universal owns them, and Nintendo/Universal already have an agreement for Nintendo Land to go into Universal theme parks. This movie deal is just part of the agreement between the two companies. Oh, and Comcast also owns Universal who owns Illumination, so that's why.
