Ok so I have a ps3 and hate wireless gaming with it. I stay awayfrom online console gaming because of this. So, is there ANY way to get a wired connection without a direct ethernet port from the wall? Can a PC ethernet port be used to obtain internet, even if the PC is getting it wirelessly? Or is there some kind of converter to work with a cable port or a phone line? I just don't have ethernet in my room and would like wired somehow.

you could get a router, it doesn't have to be wireless but why don't you like wireless if i may askJdbucc
because no matter where I put my ps3 in my room, it's never higher than 40% signal strength. idk if that's really that bad, but from what I've seen with SF4 online, wireless at 40% opposed to 100% isn't ideal.

if you're suggesting I should use these, I have Coretemp and use it often but even still it shows 4 readings.
I understand that to get the Windows 7 Upgrade version you need XP already installed. While I do have a (certified) version installed on my PC, I lost the CD for XP. Can I still buy the upgrade version, and have it detect for the copy or will I need the CD? I should know before I preorder...
Ok so I read my temps from both PC Wizard 08 and SpeedFan. They each have a temp reading for each core, and when I'm torture testing it's understandable why they get up to 60-65c. But is the overall reading the one that says "processor Temperature"? Because that one one is always significantly lower than each core individually. It appears on both Speedfan and PC wizard. What is my actual temp, the avg. of each core or that reading?
I agree with you totally TC. I have no idea where this 360BS comes from, in fact I used to be one for a while, hating ps3 for no reason at all. Only now that I have one do I realize what I've been missing, and mgs4 trumps any game for any console ever. 'nuff said.
Ha thanks for all the feedback. FYI I already played mgs4 through on my friend's ps3 in a week, and I bought the first 3 and played them so I'll wait a bit before playing 4 again (although it's gonna be SOOOo much sweeter). So far I bought Bad Company (it was cheap and something to play online) and SF4. I LOVE SF, and I'm also playing some demos of games so I can check out how they'll be. My most likely next purchases will be re5, Uncharted, then KZ2. My friend has KZ, and I'll wait a while on that one.
[QUOTE="jmsbond35"]oh sweet, so it runs great on 1080i? i have a 1080i TV, and was worried that it wount be not as decent looking as other HDTV.. and welcome to the clubcouldn't resist any longer. I have to say I had notions before about ps3 being "not that good" and a waste, but now that I have it I don't know how I didn't have one before. It is by far the best console, and the system just performs beautifully in 1080i. I admit I was wrong and.......... I think I'm in love! So I'm in with you guys now.
funsohng
same here! I have a Westinghouse TV that looks crappy with just tv broadcasting in 480i, but I only recently found out it supported HDMI and 1080i. So no worries my friend, it looks FANTASTIC
