@m4a5: You’re completely missing the actual issue. People don’t want to have to find a new lobby every single match. Finding a new set of random teammates and enemies every match sucks.
It used to be that you could stay in one lobby nearly all day long (until it crashed or lost connection). You could stay with the same team and get to know and appreciate those teammates over time. Or, if you were having a terrible experience, you could simply leave the lobby and find a new one. It used to be the player’s choice, but they took that choice away.
You see, the way it used to be, is the way that it should always be. You find the lobby that you have the most fun in and you stay there as long as you like. You could also vote to kick players, such as hackers and players with abusive personalities. We used to have some sort of control over the amount of fun that we had. They completely took that control away from us. Anyone that tries to say that current matchmaking is better than that, is simply misinformed or uneducated on the past.
@Berserk8989: I agree with you. Soundtrack is awesome. Combat is awesome. Presentation is phenomenal. I’m completely hooked on it right now. I’m only 9 hours in and it just keeps getting better. This is exactly the FF game that I’ve been waiting for. It’s been such a long wait. I can’t wait to dive back in.
Sign me up. Anything to break from the tired battle royales, COD, battlefield, etc. We need a good mix between simulation and arcade. Realistic pacing at the very least.
@epitaph: Part 1 got released on PS3, then remastered for PS4, then remastered for PS5 before it came to PC. Part 2 is on the way for PC, they were just waiting to finish up the remastered version, because that’s the version that PC will be getting. Be glad that PC didn’t get the inferior version. Patience always pays off.
@Abdulrahman1981: there are plenty of old PlayStation games that haven’t been remastered and probably won’t be remastered, because they started releasing emulated, upscaled versions in their classics catalogue. They mostly look and play horribly.
I’m with Peanut. I would love to see them remaster a lot more old games (not this crappy emulated nonsense), but I also don’t mind seeing newer games get the remaster treatment. That’s mostly because I want the frame rate and resolution boost. Added modes are always a big plus as well.
I can’t believe that they’re actually offering an upgrade option, and at only $10. There’s genuine content added in this upgrade (and no small amount either), so I’ll happily pay that $10. It will be awesome to finally play the game in native 4k at 40fps via VRR and my 120hz TV. I’ve slowly been playing Part 1 on PC, so once I’m done with that I’ll go straight into Part 2 remastered. Good deal.
Sounds like some cool and worthwhile features/modes. If there’s a reasonable upgrade price, then I’ll bite. If they charge everyone full price, then no thanks.
