@hardwenzen: not sure I agree with first person. Not even the God of War reboot changed that much. The last thing anyone needs is another overly fast paced twitch shooter, especially when it comes to Gears. Now, if they keep it at a slower pace (no knee sliding, bunny hopping, quick scoping, guns blazing COD garbage), maybe have cover mechanics akin to Rainbow Six Vegas, more mature characters and story, then I’d be all-in.

Probably bring back Marcus and Dom, maybe Baird and reboot the story altogether. Don’t make it Doom or COD, but more like Space Marine 2 and Darktide. However, I truly don’t believe that anyone has the nuts to make such a game. And what a massive shame that is.

@hardwenzen: I have to agree with you here. I loathe Ubisoft chores. I mean games.

We’ll see how it goes. Xbox has been stagnant for quite some time. Change is good, but only time will tell if things get worse or better. There are loads of ways it can go wrong and really only one way it can go right. Your move, Sarah.

@restatbonfire: I worked 60 hour weeks in a mill doing hard labor, then I’d go home and work out. Mindset and dedication. Once you get healthy, fit and have a routine, your mind and body both function infinitely better. You just sound defeated and a tad bitter, because you’re not motivated enough. But I understand that. It’s very hard to get motivated. I’ve been there as well. It lies entirely on you to motivate yourself and stay motivated. That’s the mindset portion.

Celebrities have far less free time than we do. They often work 16 hours a day, 6-7 days a week and that’s just the acting/modeling/etc. part. That doesn’t even include attending events, interacting with fans and spending time with family. The only way they get fit and stay fit is if it’s their lifestyle or if it’s part of their regimen for their job and/or if they choose to lose sleep to work out.

@itsnota2mer: 2028 if we’re lucky. They already confirmed that it’s “at least” 5 more years away.

@hosedandhappy: Guy, you’re part of the very small minority. Take a look around. The games are great, but this release is a massive missed opportunity and anybody with one brain cell would have to agree with that much.

@restatbonfire: Give me a break. Don’t act like you can’t get buff because you can’t afford it. I’ve gotten buff at an extra cost of buying protein and an extra meal a day. The rest is hard work, mindset and dedication. Anyone can afford to be fit and yes, even buff. You do not need a nutritionist or a trainer. I’ve never had either. Teach yourself, it’s pretty simple and straight forward. Your body tells you everything you need to know. Listen to it closely.

@hosedandhappy: People are understandably frustrated with this release, because we’ve been waiting many years for Metal Gear to make a comeback and even more years for them to do anything with MGS1 and even more years for them to release MGS3 on PC and this is what we get. Absolutely nothing better than what was already there.

This was Konami’s big chance to reconcile their shortcomings and upgrade these games, and they chose to do nothing with that opportunity. Any regular MGS fan would have done much more for these games. In fact, modders already have done much more for these games than Konami has done here.
