@simonthekid7: First off, money was never mentioned. Stallone cares greatly about the quality and production of his characters and franchises. Secondly, those are pretty basic plot points. I don’t think you can say that he “stole” them from anyone. Every bit of media ever created was influenced and inspired by something or someone else.
Stallone took his shot when he refused to sell the original script for $300,000, when he just barely had $100 in his bank account at that time. They wanted someone else to play his part. He said hell no, either let me play the part or get lost. Then they gave him $75,000 as the writer and star of the film and lowered the budget for making the film, while taking the movie rights away from Stallone. That’s unfortunately what it took for Stallone to be allowed to play the part of Rocky. Keep in mind, nobody wanted to make the film with Stallone starring in it. He did what he had to do to get his shot as an actor and a writer. In that sense, it really paid off.
I really hope this game meets or exceeds expectations. There aren’t enough open world RPG shooters out there, let alone post nuclear survival, top notch graphics and gameplay and hopefully polished. Also, not early access and with multiplayer to boot.
It’s quite a large task. If they kept the spirit and systems of past STALKER games alive, then S2 will truly be one of a kind, as it always has been. This one could put it in a class entirely on its own. They have a golden opportunity here. I sure hope they don’t waste it.
@mooglestar: Pattinson is exactly the same size. Keanu has the CQC training though, and plenty of hardened action experience. Not to mention his stoic personality and grizzly voice. He’s a great choice for an older Batman in my book. I think he’d be better than Pattinson, who I actually liked quite a bit.
That’s disappointing for the PS5 version. They couldn’t even make it dynamic resolution at the very least? Sure, it will look a hair better now, but 1440p on a 4k TV is quite blurry, let alone the fact that it’s using FXAA and TAA. I feel like native 4k would be necessary, or at least dynamic resolution.
@jenovaschilld: My friends and I as well. I know exactly what you mean. It’s already alarmingly accurate. Between Idiocracy and DMC: Devil May Cry, the whole energy drink thing is coming along nicely.
