I'm right there with you, I've been having a very hard time getting into this game. It might be because I have so many others right now that interest me more, but it seems awfully slow to me.
anyone know if it matters if u use the USB in the front or the back? i dont have a flash drive that fits in the back yet but when i plug it into the front, the xbox doesn't pick up on the drive.
the only device showing still is the HD

You can't use a regular USB flash drive as a memory unit, sorry. The only thing you can do to "carry" your game saves is swap hard drives or use the official memory unit from Microsoft.
I just love how MS keeps coming up with new and innovative ways to rip us off.
If you want to kill things in a violent manner, get gears; if you want to be depressed as all get-out, get Lost Odyssey (seriously, the most depressing game ever).
I wouldn't get the extra cooling. The failure rate is down to 16% and if you use an intercooler you may void the warranty in the event you do get the dreaded red rings.
I'm not sure why people worry so much about this, MS will fix it for free for 3 years.
I'm both a console and PC gamer and I have to say, which I choose depends on the game. I wouldn't play an RTS on my console as the mouse and keyboard are, imo, essential for gameplay; but I only play FPS on my console.
As for the TV, I play on a SDTV and it's just fine. Some of the text may be hard to read, but it doen't really affect gameplay at all. It won't look as nice as on your PC, but it's not terrible.
Once they find the right model of DLC I think it could be a good thing but right now the pricepoint on most things is too high IMO and I agree that I think some companies are holding back content in order to milk the consumer for another $5.
Once the price point is reasonable and it's truely add-on material (like the DLC for Mass Effect) then I think it will be a good thing.
I tire of everything eventually. Right now I'd say COD4 will be an ongoing favorite even though I only recently picked it up (I am so behind the times).
I didn't play R6V1 and I only recently started playing COD4 so I'm not as stoked for this game as some (since I'm not burned out on COD4 yet), but I will probably get it within a month of release. From everything I have heard it will be different enough from COD4 to warrent owning both.
