@TenraiSenshi @jts1891 @jeager_titan The one thing that truly matters? The difference between a great game, and something that is merely 'meh' is that it gets everything right. Simply because it plays well does not mean it deserves a near perfect score when it has so many flaws.
@jeager_titan @jts1891 What, exactly, is good about the game? The story? The graphics? The characters? There is virtually no story, the characters are terrible, and the game looks like it was made in 2004. The only thing that Dark Souls had going for it is the challenge, and that does not make a game a 9.5.
Okay, what? The Last of Us, one of the best games I've ever had the pleasure of playing, gets an 8 while an absolute piece of crap like Dark Souls gets a 9.5? Gamespot, go home. You're drunk.
So, it's 'Anti-Social' because it 'discourages in-person interaction' despite the fact that you're still interacting with other people. I guess he's against Facebook, Skype, Twitter and Email too?
And that, Nintendo, is why the Wii U is failing hard. It's all well and good to make games that appeal to everyone under the age of 13, but many of your fans have grown up. And you haven't. Time to put the big boy pants back on and go back to what you were during the N64 days.
Very nice. Hopefully they can reinvigorate the series after Judgement. It'll be interesting to see where they plan on taking the story since the Locusts are all dead. Perhaps they'll follow the rebuilding and the inevitable conflicts that will pop up, especially since the planet's primary form of energy is gone. Either way, anyone who says Gears of War no longer has a story to tell doesn't have much imagination.
