[QUOTE="kakanoucia"]

I agree that the Move lacks any real good stand alone Move games. Although I enjoyed the Tiger Woods game quite a bit with the PS Move, and Killzone 3 and Resistance 3 were much more fun with the PS Move for me, outside of that I can't imagine getting a Move-only game (Sports Champions is still a lot of fun when you get people together).

Kinect on the other hand, Dance Central 2 is a fantastic party game. I had loads of fun when I tried it at my friend's place. Would I get the Kinect? Maybe, it's a great periphiral for fun family games. Is the Move inferior to the Kinect? Each Kinect game i've seen are on-rails, and there's a very limited range of genres that it can do, and do well. Move on the other hand can provide the family games, as well as the core games, and then the sports games here and there. I own the Move and I admit I hardly use it, I doubt the situation would be any different if I had a Kinect, but I still wouldn't mind owning it and have a few games to play with my nieces and nephews.

Your argument is that Move games sell like crap, and then suddenly you say that Kinect is the superior device simply because it's games sell. If that's the case, then Call of Duty is the only game that should exist since everything else is crap since it doesn't even come close to how much Call of Duty sells.

ForzaGearsFace

the games do sell better and say hello to gunstringer..... nothing like that is done on Move and its a great game hello 8.5 here..... also you forget how kinect is intergrated into xbox live and the dashboard, its a total strongness win.

I've actually heard great things about Gunstringer, unfortunately I was not able to try it due to lack of Kinect. As for the Dashboard being Kinect-friendly, a great feature that could convince me, specifically the voice-enabled control options. I know it's a great piece of tech, I just don't know if it has enough to justify a purchase for myself. Before you argue about why I own the PS Move, I got it with my 320 gb PS3, and I wanted that ps3 for the harddrive space rather than the PS Move accessory. So before you claim i'm a "Cow" and start bashing like an immature kid, know that Gears 3 IS my personal GOTY last year.

Since the PS3 is a little more challenging to develop for, I guess it is definitely for the better if released after they are finished working on the 360. Gives them time to solely focus on one console and learn how it works. Skyrim PS3 after 90 hours of playtime is a mess for me. The frequent freezing is frustrating. Let's hope "The Witcher 2" doesn't have similar issues.

I've only experienced the RRoD once back in 2007, I got a replacement for that and it has worked fine ever since. My PS3 on the other hand died twice on me, back in early 2009, and the recent summer of 2011. However, 360 hardly gets any playtime so I guess that is an important factor in all of this.

The game started to lag for me after 90+ hours of gameplay, by that time I had more than enough time with Skyrim so having to wait for this update wasn't too bad. However, with that said, when the game lags it's pretty bad, but more often than not it's the PS3 freezing that really piss me off.

Gears 1 2 and 3 was basically *enemies spawn, kill enemies, move to point b, enemies spawn, kill enemies, move to point c* and so on and so forth. Sure the shooting was great...but it HAS to be great if it's primary focus is focused on cover and shoot.

You can say the same about Uncharted 1, 2, and 3 but at the very least it's got an interesting level design to sugar coat the same mechanic and changes up the pacing by adding in some puzzles and exploration sections. On top of that, the Uncharted characters and storyline are much more interesting.

On the other hand the Gears series has an overarching plot. Sure there could be plot holes here and there, but even without them, I just found the characters just, inconsistent, and just didn't have my interest.

Each Uncharted game has a new story, therefore each new game is much more focused in Uncharted, so Gears had a harder task to accomplish in the narrative aspect as the game is creating it's own universe much like Halo.

With that said, I enjoyed both franchises quite a bit, and neither trumps the other IMO (Uncharted 2 being the best of the Uncharted franchise while Gears 3 being the best of the Gears franchise). 4 player co-op being some of the most fun i've had with a few friends in Gears 3, while Uncharted 2 offered quite possibly the most exciting action/adventure experience in videogame form. Again, this is all just my opinion.

Move title or not, it isn't looking like anything special. meetroid8

I completely agree. I understand the interest some people may have in the game. However, take away the motion controls and you have a generic-looking adventure game for a young audience.

I am interested in some of the things they are doing with the Move but not interested enough for PS Move.

I can't say PS Move is all that bad, personally I enjoyed KZ3 more WITH the Move than without.

8.5 from me. Yes there was a lot of padding, yes the overworld was smaller, and no the controls were not terrible. For me, it always worked, there was never a time that I was frustrated due to poor controls. Every fight with any enemy was a puzzle to figure out (sure some MUCH easier than others) and then there were the very well designed boss fights. The star of the show was the sword no doubt.

For Tom to request standard controls was a very...questionable remark. The game was clearly designed from the ground up for motion-plus. You can see it in the puzzles and boss fights and every new item the game has to offer (the whip, the accuracy of the bow and arrow, tossing or rolling bombs etc.)

*SPOILER*

I personally hated the 2nd and 3rd fight with "The Imprisoned" and for me to re-visit the same 3 locations 3 times was disappointing in a Zelda game because the sense of discovery was kind of absent. In fact the only time I truly did feel adventurous was the first time I visited each area, and the entire Desert Sea sequence in the second act of the Lanaryu Desert. Anyone that played that section must have had the same sense of awe playing through that sequence that I had experienced.

While i'm a much bigger fan of Uncharted 3 than Gears of War 3, there is no denying both are high-quality games. The extra 0.5 is given to Gears of War 3 simply because of the content packed into the game. Beast mode, Horde mode, 4 player co-operative campaign and THEN the plethora of multiplayer game modes.

Now I could be wrong in the amount of content Uncharted 3 has to offer. The multiplayer received a greater upgrade from all angles but I imagine the overall package of Uncharted 3 will be similar to what Uncharted 2 has to offer. Personally, that is no way a bad thing. But I can see why GeoW3 would get the slight edge here.

I actually agree to a certain extent. I've been quite satisfied with many Capcom games, and a lot of demands from fans of a few of their games, you know, the hardcore ones always posting on their sites, not the ones complaining here on system wars, a lot of their demands are actually met.

However, I also believe Capcom shouldn't just release a game, although great on it's own terms, for full price, only to release another version of the same game a few months down the line (UMvC3).

The other examples like the SSF4 upgrade, that game had more extras packed in for a fighting game sequel than a Call of Duty game has each year as a sequel to a shooter. Things like that i'm fine with, I found it very much worth it to purchase SSF4 after owning Street Fighter 4. UMvC3 however just seems too soon, and MvC3 really did feel like a rushed product. If it's just barely a year apart it makes you think why MvC3 was lacking many standard features in the first place.
