The problem is I have the physical copy, I bought the game, the date for the game is dated AFTER I used the cerberus network code, that's why I was wondering whether the game is unlocked or not because it's part of my download history when I never purchased the game digitally.

I was wondering if the physical copy of Mass Effect 2 unlocks the digital version from the ps store while updating/installing the game. I was looking through my download history and noticed that Mass Effect 2 was available for download, and the file size was 12 gb. I never purchased Mass Effect 2 from the PS store.

It's not about the fact OtherOS gave you an alternative OS for your PS3 that you paid for...it's the principle of what a controlling corporation like Sony can do at the click of their fingers and bully us, the consumer.

The secondary argument that comes out of this is regarding what Sony did to PS2 playback..."who cares, I wanna play PS3 games not old games". Come on, would anybody sane enough really NOT want PS2 playback as a CHOICE from a current in-production PS3 model? For the trolls, I guess not...

I agree with this, sure OtherOS wasn't a feature I used, but the fact that it was a feature, and was taken away from us, who is to say they won't remove other features at their will?

As for the PS2 playback, I have the original 60gb model and still enjoy ps2 games on it. For those that bought later editions, I assume you purchased it knowing that backwards compatibility was taken away from those consoles as Sony made that clear. My problem is the support that HD collections are getting, I mean sure it's nice to have updated visuals for your favorite PS2 games, but it's not worth having to repurchase the game to be able to play it on my console with higher resolutions.

There are tons of games I want to play this year, not sure if spending the full $60 would be worth it but I do want to play all the DLC as well which I missed out on last year. Dead Space 2 is also releasing next week I believe? it's going to be one hell of a year!

Hey guys, my question isn't to debate which is the better game (both Mass Effect 2 and Little Big Planet 1 were great games) but my question is should I get LBP2 or ME2? My friend's have already ordered LBP2 for me as my birthday present (which happens to be tomorrow) and I am very thankful for that. However, should I go out of my way to purchase ME2 myself, after all I have played it on the PC and I still have the save file but am afraid that Mass Effect 3 won't work on my laptop but I want to continue my story. I could restart Mass Effect 2 on PS3 but would it be worth it considering that I would have just gotten LBP2? Or should it wait?

I play my PS3 more than I do my Xbox 360, but that's because I don't have a wireless adapter for the console, and more of my friends have a PS3 so for multi-player I go towards PS3. Games like Fallout (where the differences between PS3 version and X360 version are large) I would much rather play on the Xbox 360 though, and also the exclusives for the console.

Super Mario Galaxy was a great game. That game is still better than half the thhings that came out this year. I'm talking about the first one since that's all i've played. You won't find too many games like it because of the great level designs in the game. While I play more games on the Ps3/360 than I do the wii, I won't deny that a lot of games are becoming "same game with a different skin on top". That's what makes nintendo stand out, to me atleast, among the competitors.

Hey PS3 board,

I was wondering if the Playstation Move is worth the buy? I understand that it doesn't any good games for it at the moment, but I think sports champions would last me a while from the looks of it but I just want to be sure.

Also, what should I get after the starter kit? My brother and I would love to play multiplayer games, so would i need two sub controllers? I understand that the dualshock 3 could also be used but doesn't the sub-controller have motion capabilities similar to the nunchuk on the wii or the sixaxis? I already plan on getting a second Move controller if I do happen to get the starter kit but I'm a bit unsure on the sub-controllers.

Also, any other recommendations for accessories would be great. Thanks :D!
