@Xristophoros: Spielberg WAS perfect. Uncontested. At one point. Munich, Color Purple, Schindler's List. Saving Private Ryan, Catch me if you Can, Empire of the Sun, all these movies in my opinion were perfect flawless.
BUT, his movies now SUCK. There is no way for me to justify a director for digressing in his form. Just cause I liked his older movies doesn't mean need to justify his garbage now.
If Shia is right, then the way Spielberg directs now is the cause for his digression. He is too robotic.
His last 6 movies were near unwatchable to me.
Tin Tin (what was that garbage) I rarely ever walk out of cartoons, but I walked out of Tin Tin.
War Horse (boring artificial did I say boring)
Lincoln (Completely utterly pointless, never fleshed out who Lincoln was and did not show his flaws, played like a Maoist propaganda film)
Bridge of Spies (Complete failure to make me care about the one character I was supposed to care for, also filled with tons of righteous propaganda)
The BFG (WTF just WTF)
Indiana Jones 4 (Worst Indiana Jones)

He should just stick to stamping and stop directing. Couldn't finish Tin Tin, fell asleep in War Horse, barely made it through Lincoln and it only for educational purposes, hated everything about Bridge of Spies except for Hanks, and The BFG was just bad.
Yes, its so true. Spielberg's films have felt more and more robotic and dated nowadays.
Tin Tin, War Horse, Lincoln, Bridge of Spies, The BFG, none of them feel authentic, there's a sheen and a falsity about all of Spielberg's latest films. I was barely even able to sit through Bridge of Spies if it wasn't for Tom Hanks charisma.
Spielberg should stick to producing only, his directing skills have digressed so much since the days of Saving Private Ryan, and Schindler's List.
Glad LaBeouf is speaking the truth. Now I see why Spielberg's films feel so artificial nowadays.

Bottom line is 4K is here to stay and the notion that you're gonna stream everything and never buy a single disc is naive.
There are tons of movies that are next to impossible to find on streaming services. You're bound to buy some 4K discs, also the quality of 4K stream vs 4K disc is pretty substantial.
Very retarded move for Sony to not include a 4K Bluray player in their flagship console, right when 4K Bluray is just being introduced. They forgot PS3 won the console wars because it had a Bluray player and MS didn't.
Sony is making a big mistake in their arrogance. MS has aleady set the bar with 4K Bluray on XB1 S.
@kyelo: Yeah, but not every movie is streamable. Also takes great bandwith to stream good looking 4K in HDR not everyone has that bandwith.
Disc media for 4K is still needed.
Sony really cheaped out on this one.
At least with XB1 S you can justify the upgrade by saying to yourself that you are really just buying a cheap 4K Bluray player, but you can't even do that with this console.
