@dlCHIEF58: Correct but without Mobile you will not have access to billions. Millions more sure but Mobile is what makes this number so large. Especially in Japan. I would also argue that PSNow's problem is that as of right now it doesn't really compare well to GP. Rumor is PS is considering day one releases on PSNow for at least some first party but until they do the PSNow numbers are somewhere around 3 million and will probably stay there until more newer content is available
@letsgame82: I think the number really is 30 million. They just dont want to say because there was a leak of 23 million not long ago and that doesnt sound impressive enough. But lets assume 20. Now lets assume every one is paying the cheapest price $10 bucks. Thats 2.4 billion a year. The dev cost for GTA V was around 350 million over 5 years. 2.4 billion a year is enought to fund 34 GTA V's. Granted they are not making money right now. But as subscriptions go up the need for new content does not. If 1 million people are really happy with 5 really big first party games a year plus all the third party games then so are 20 million people and 30 so on and so on. The cost of development remains relatively flat as subscribers increase.
@jenovaschilld: Luna and Stadia are really the only comparable services. Sony requires you to have the hardware. As does Nintendo and Apple. Access to a billion with a LOW barrier to entry on devices you already own is how this should read. Even Stadia still requires you to purchase 70 dollar games. I think Luna has a sub but its not on the same level as GP. If they get on TV's this year the 1 billion will turn to 2 billion pretty quickly.
@sladakrobot: Think there was another leak a while ago that pegged em at 23 million. I think it is 30 but they dont want to say 30 because of the leak of 23. Doesn't sound that impressive. Anytime a company announces numbers they are trying to impress you. I would guess if Halo and Forza give them a big enough bump during the Holidays they may release a new official number at the game awards.
@johnny0779: I can get behind a mature rated Conker CG animated show. A Fable show wouldn't be a bad idea either....but it would have to be funny. Funny Lord of The Rings basically. However for other franchises that already are forefront in the minds of people who play games I understand his concern. A bad Halo show could hurt Halo. So its only really worth it if you believe the game could benefit from the exposure.
@miguelgreene: The steam summer sale etc do have amazing deals but I would argue that for day 1 releases its still a no brainer on PC. Its not as good as console right now....but with all 1st party releasing on both it will get better fast. MSFS Psychonauts 2 Forza 5 and Halo just this year.
In my opinion if you have an Xbox or a PC and you do not have Game Pass .... I just do not understand your thinking. The only good reason not to have it is if you play 1 or 2 games a year COD Madden OR if you just cant find the time to play enough games to make the cost worth it. If you play a lot of games its a no brainer.
