@daidochus: Josh Sawyer , the guy who made New Vegas good. And who is behind a lot of the good stuff Obsidian does , wanted to make this game. Its his project. And they let him do that and it will find an audience I am sure with Game Pass. And it keeps him happy so he can work on Avowed and maybe New Vegas 2 and not ya know have to quit to go make the game he wants to make.
@MarcRecon: Yes I have 3 LGs. And they have been so good I am not changing anytime soon. But I have no doubt they will get there on these TVs , it's just a matter of when. My guess is they are going to increase Azure blades for a year then add LG. Sony is a weird one because they're game and TV divisions are separate but the CEO is the CEO. Who knows if they allow it or not
@sargentpsgamer: I would have thought that LG would have been the leader given just general impressions since the C series. But I am not familiar with the numbers. Either way it's best for MS to get this working on a CRT if they can do it. All TVs as quickly as they think there are enough Azure blades to support the additional load
I get the Samsung partnership you want a TV manufacturer to help , I imagine their OS is android based like their phones...so there is already a App for android etc. However if I am MS I am pushing to get this on every TV in existence. The console market has been about 200-250 million people for quite some time. Thats people who will actually buy a new console...worldwide. There are billions of TV's worldwide that are capable to run this app.
@Barighm: Go ahead list the components here for a 400 dollar PC that beats the S. And a 500 dollar one that beats the X. Be sure to include a controller , a case , and an SSD that's on par with what is in those 2 . I'll wait. As far as not being able to play digital games offline I have never had a problem as long as the box is set to "Home Xbox" . The outage you are referring to affected some people and some games. Some games require a 1 time activation online after download and if you haven't done that then you can't play until you have done that once. Oh and some Steam games require the same thing .
@Barighm: You are conveniently sidestepping the fact that a 300 hundred dollar card is not all you need. "If you are going to build a digital only gaming system". You can not build a PC that comes anywhere close to a Series S for 300 bucks. Period. Not for another few years at least
@Barighm: What GPU are you getting for 299?? Also does you computer have a good SSD ? Do you have a controller ?? That's $60 bucks right there. Do you have a computer with a capable CPU or Memory ? How old is the operating system ? If you can upgrade your computers GPU for 299 and see a real benefit then yeah do that and get Game Pass. But just buying a GPU isn't all that you need to play todays games well. And some people will never buy/upgrade a PC.
This will inevitably be used as some strange comparison to the real game even tho this project doesn't have complicated AI or physics or even any gameplay mechanics at all. All it has to do is look pretty.
