Okay I've tested the upscaler with Tony Hawk 4. Without the antialiasing turned on, the upscaler simply allows for the action to extend vertically from the top to the bottom of your TV/monitor; before, I had bars on all sides. The antialiasing feature (or "Smoothing" as they call it) is what really makes a difference for me. The jaggies are much less visible (although not perfect). I am pleased with this since I am not even sure the Playstation 2 supported antialiasing.
id probably play the ps2 games more if they we in hd resoultion... they look terrible as of now on my lcd tv

First off, please learn to type in proper English. This isn't a cell phone, don't use that garbled IM crap.
Secondly, I'd much rather have 98% compatibility with PS2/PS1 at standard def than upscaling but most of the thousand games on the software compatibility list working with noticable issues.

If you want to comment on anyone's sentences I would recommend the sentence in your second paragraph, which really doesn't make much sense at all with that 'but' in there. Here's an idea: get off your high horse and focus on the discussion since complaining about grammatical errors gets us nowhere... Oh yea, and learn how to spell 'noticeable'... tool.
