any thoughts please, as I'm rather confused thanks

guys those IPS monitors look a little out of my price range, esp if over 24". what about the two I linked to above? which is best? i'm concerned that someone above said that i would have to sit two feet away is that really true? does it mean i shouldn't go above a size 24"? i didn't see anyone on the newegg forum complaining about this but would like your opinions-also please read the new egg customer critiques and tell me if you agree thanks
high tech ips monitors- can you pls give example and how large? over 24 inch?
my 24 inch monitor is showing REALLY washed out screens adn i can't seem to adjust; also about a fourth of the screen at the top is very white, and its hard to see the colors under it.
please tell me which of these to get, or neither. i want to do high end gaming (will games look better than on my 24 inch soyo monitor?), but i also write a LOT. is it true that with27 inch monitors, it's hard to read Word documents? can i get these cheaper, or are there better ones for about the same price? is it a lot more exciting to see a game like total war on a 27 inch rather than a 25 inch?
lastly, for the 27 inch monitor, someone on the forum said it looked very washed out (everyone else seemed to like it), but another person wrote that: After Enabling dynamic contrast i got a lot better colors. Before enabling it most colors where washed out. It seems to be the best 27 inch LCD for the price." HOW HARD would it be for me to enable dynamic contrast if i am a complete tech newbie and how would i do so?
THANKS

ok i adjusted the light on the monitor and it seems to be working (strangely though it often starts out looking fine for a couple hours, then it fades to white--does this mean i need a new monitor?)
what's weird is that while i was adjusting buttons on the monitor, i now have a large very clear square on the upper right of the screen--it can't get it back to match the rest of the screen. please help, i feel like such a jerk
my screen (on desktop , including when I use the internet) is beginning to fade significantly, it's beginning to look very pale and whitish.
does this mean i need a new monitor? is there something i can do? if so, please give VERY SPECIFIC directions, as I am a stupid newbie! windows 7)
thanks
if i need to get a new monitor (I have a soyo 24 inch now) what is a cheap but good one for games in particular? I need 24 inch or slightly bigger
bump
it seems people think it's a thermal paste problem. is there a possibility its a broken i7 920 or the V8 and that I need a new one?
if i get a new i7 920 with that graphics card noted above, do i need to buy a separate V8 or liquid cooling, or is the fan that automatically comes with the i7 920 enough?
i purchased a comp over a year ago at ibuypower--i have a warranty on labor but not parts. my comp would not start (one beep, pause with three quick beeps), so I did a RMA back to ibuypower. they said it was a faulty graphics card and I purchased a new gtx570 that they installed. they SUPPOSEDLY tested, then sent it back to me, but it was DOA.
When i turned it on, i saw the ASUS motherboard screen, but then the screen went blank (black screen), then the comp just turns off. I pushed DEL and looked at the BIOS - temp at 180 degrees farentheit; also saw an error saying my comp was overheating. I called ibuypower and they said it was bc my V8 cooler was loose (he said they should have put protective foam wrapping inside the comp when they returned it, but there was none). Ihired a tech guy who screwed the coolermaster V8 tightly onto the mount. BUt the comp still has the same problem (143 degrees now).
1) what should I demand that ibuypower do at this point? ask for a new computer for free? they will say the parts aren't under warranty and i will probably have to send it back RMA, but the tech guy said that they clearly did NOT test the comp before sending back to me. Also i need a comp soon and don't want to continue waiting for it to be fixed forever.
2) What is the problem with the overheating? Do i need a new CPU? A new cooler? (I have a i7 920. If I buy a new one and have the tech guy install it, does the cooler come with it, or do i have to buy separately). Need a new motherboard? I want to know for SURE so i don't have to buy all these products and test each out separately.
3) I now have a new expensive graphics card. also i want to keep all my files. better to have the tech guy build a new comp for me with most of my old parts? what parts can i keep and what will i need to buy from new egg?
thanks!
but how much better would the gtx460 be? how would two hd5770 compare to the gtx 570? i'd prefer the 460 but i just learned i can't get one year financing
i'm afraid i don't know anyone who can build me a comp in atlanta so i'm looking at tiger direct are they trustable?
