@dieofnv2: Xbox gamers have been a joke actually. Up till Scoprio's announcement everyone said graphics are overrated and the human eye can't see past 720p/30fps anyways. But now.. look out... Xbox kids are all about dem 4k visuals... lol
@rasterror: Everything you said is true as long as you don't have that never dying need to have the every best experience possible on a big 4K screen. Eliminate the display device as a determining factor and all the issues with Xbox melt away. Up till now PS4 Pro was the closest possible to true PC gaming quality with enhanced titles but indeed Scorpio will surpass that, no arguments can be made about that.
@lifegee13: And I just bought one. I also just bought two 1080Ti founders editions 2 weeks ago so now I have to sell those on eBay for a dirt cheap price.
@bubba_666: Ahh.. silly kids. Tech is about the tech. Silicone, programming, code, transistors, shaders, polygons, textures... it all has to be the best it can be otherwise you can just go play with a deck of cards or chess or something.
@Pokemon18986: Or demonstrates the actual power of a RX 480, which it is a tuned version of. AMD's highest end card compared to a middle of the road Nvidia card.
I thought the lack of games was because they keep canceling them.. or maybe that is the reason why devs have stopped backing them, just to end up having their games canceled... It's a vicious circle with them I guess.
Either way, it will be a remarkable unit. I only hope Microsoft can find irresistible ways to win back all those that already jumped ship to experience 4k gaming elsewhere. Truthfully, your TV size dictates whether or not you can see native 4K or upscaled 1800p. At 55" or higher, true native 4K will be great. For those with anything lower than than that. You will basically be paying out the ass for more stable frame rates since the resolution is less of an concern at below 55". I just hope gamers buying the Scorpio actually have the right TV's with HDR and larger screen sizes to really benefit. Otherwise we'll just end up with more dumb people arguing over things they have no experience or point of reference with. I've been enjoying 4k for a couple years now but also have a 70" TV. The majority of gamers have crap in comparison so is an expensive 4K gaming console really for them?
