@everson_rm: The Pro makes a lot of games playable that the launch console had struggles with. Devs just love to push the hardware a little too far. I fear that may end up happening over time with the new consoles as they get more spoiled by more resources.

I've spent a full year with the PS4 Pro. I can without a doubt say it is a great console. The newest exclusives are phenomenal and the older remasters genuinely hit native 4K a lot of the time. However, it only does "some" 4K. As a console, it cannot be classified as a 4K console. Remember, it doesn't even have the UHD drive which is becoming standard these days.

The Pro reaches 4K resolutions infrequently. Only a tiny handful of games hit 1800p and that's mostly by first party studios. The Pro averages around 1440p most of the time on the majority of multiplats and on the rest of the games there is either no Pro support at all or the "enhanced" mode is some extra godrays crap or more steady framerates at 1080p.

Any Sony gamer with a 4K TV claiming the PRO is just as good as the X or is a true 4K gaming console is fooling themselves. The Pro is an excellent choice for those rare but usually stellar exclusives, they always look great. The X will be the go to machine from here on out on all the rest of the games if you really care about visual fidelity and aren't fully 100% invested in PC already.

Between now and this time next year, most gamers that have upgraded to 4K will be completely aware of the flaws of the Pro and the X will not be a hard choice anymore.

@greaseman1985: I know, M series seems to be best deal around. Even though not the most highest rated. I moved away from Vizio when I splurged on the LG C6 65" OLED. Won't go back now.

@jayskoon93: Idiot... I can't play any of those on my PC so what's your point! Don't say "we",you don't speak for all of us that game on multiple platforms now.

@timothyss10: I was thinking more along the lines of large AAA type games with big studios behind them. But I see your point. I was thinking Pac Man but didn't type it.

@metallinatus: You realize... This is the single first time in several years Microsoft actually deserves some praise. It's easy to lay on thick when ridicule and disparaging comments seem to be all the Xbox One Kinect TV Box deserved. had the majority of gaming community remained complacent with 720p games and TV pass through, none of this splendordipitious 4K wonder would be happening.

Gears 3 with upgraded visuals! That's great! I'm going to need a few days just to download all the games I plan on X Hailing.

@davillain-: The cost benefit of selling and trading my used games far outweigh the cost of live services in a year.
