but going to church and hearing all this christian stuff gets annoying. Your telling me, just do what you want. Tell them if you want, dont tell them if you dont want to. I personally dont tell them because i have enough problems with them.[QUOTE="bededog"]Wait until you're out of the house to tell them. It just makes life a lot easier that way.ToastRider11

Im talking about specifics of materialism. People can materalize jesus with no problem. (christians) So, people coming from that culture would have no problem drawing muhamad. You know drawing Mohammed was not in the least about materialism...and you are still generalizing Christians.... Of course its a generalization. I dont know the individuals who did the muhamad drawings. And yes, having pictures of jesus and having jesus on a cross is indeed materalism. You can hold a picture of jesus, you can touch it. You arent supposed to do that with muhamad.[QUOTE="kipohippo021"][QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"]As did the other side. And as to the start of both religions....Christianity was the one NOT interested in worldly riches. LJS9502_basic

Oh you want specific. You're not coming to find me are you?:o The 'burgh...Gettysburg? Pittsburg? So let me see if I have your argument down..it's okay to be materialisitc if you, kipohippo like the group...but not if you don't. I see.....I'm not causing the argument. It's YOUR argument. I didn't make it. Christians are NOT more materialistic than Muslims. People are people. Though you might want to study the history a bit more for incite.LJS9502_basicWhat are you talking about? Christians had a very materalistic past during the crusades, so that could lead to the ignorance that caused the drawings of muhamad. You are making mountains out of molehills. As did the other side. And as to the start of both religions....Christianity was the one NOT interested in worldly riches. Im talking about specifics of materialism. People can materalize jesus with no problem. When you are discussing blame and fault. You need to take the legal descriptions of those words into factor. Its not their fault. Thats what the insanity plea is for. If you think mentally retarded people are to blame, that is your opinion. You use "same freedoms, same responsibility" as a exuse. But mentally retarded people dont have the same freedoms. Usually when the insanity plea is used, people spend thier lifetime in a mental institution.[QUOTE="kipohippo021"]
[QUOTE="rawsavon"] I am not and have not discussed any laws. They are not absolute and determine nothing (as they vary from people to people).
Laws are merely a tool used by people.rawsavon
I don't 'need' to do anything. I (for the last time) am not discussing any laws.
THEY VARY FROM PLACE TO PLACE, ARE NOT ABSOLUTES, AND ARE TOOLS OF THE PEOPLE.
If you want to discuss what the laws are/should be, that is an entirely different conversation
You live in the us, i live in the us. Fault as determined by the U.S. legal system states that fault means you did something negative, as does blame. So, its not his fault means that he didnt cause it on purpose to cause a negative concequence. You are taking this to seriously dude. You are trying to argue a defenition, Is it op's fault? By defenition, no.[QUOTE="kipohippo021"][QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"] So the Muslims invading and taking land wasn't materialistic?Humans are territorial by nature. Would you want somone invading your house? If you then chased them out and you had a gun, wouldnt you want to shoot them and take the offensive side? Every culture is materialistic to a point, but christians are more so than muslims. You are just trying to cause argument now. So let me see if I have your argument down..it's okay to be materialisitc if you, kipohippo like the group...but not if you don't. I see.....I'm not causing the argument. It's YOUR argument.
