How does it not. If you think something, it is your thought. If you act in some way that results in some consequence, it was your act. Think about how psychology attempts to help people with disorders (things they can't help). We do not attempt to change the things around the person (99% of the time). We attempt to change the individual...the ways they act...the ways they think...they ways they attempt to solve problems. Why? You said in general "just because you cant help something, dosent make it your fault". Well, if you dont think they way that "normal" people think. And when faced with a situation, you see it as something else, how is that your fault? You can argue, but only the certain individual could truly know thier train of thought. Its easy to blame them when you dont know how they think. Hence why they do deep investigations when the insanity plea is used.
