Back in hometown

Exams are over, and I am now back in my hometown in Malaysia. Nothing beats home.

On to my gaming history, I just finished playing Brave Heart. It is a good game on the PSP, but not good enough to make you jump off your chair. Now, it is time for Crisis Core:Final Fantasy VII!!! I wonder if there are any walkthroughs. Any recommendations?

Of Bravuras, Unities, and cutsies

Brave Heart

Since the holidays have begun, I started playing Brave Heart on the PSP. Again, I feel that this game is under-rated. The only thing which I would complain about is the gameplay, which does not offer variety of strategies.

On the bright side, we have a cute set of graphics, and albeit not extraordinary, a good RPG. The Bravura attacks offer quite some interesting moves, and the Unity attack combines the strength of a few characters at once to assault the enemy.

All in all, I would give it a 7.0, considering its mediocre gameplay and cute graphics.

A must have? I doubt it, but then it might strongly appeal to several gamers.

Exams!

In less than a few hours time, I am going to sit for my first ever EXAMINATION paper for this semester.

I am feeling rather nervous right now.

Of broken toys and such...

Like children with broken toys running to their parents, we sometimes run to God and show Him our failures, hoping that He would mend them.

Broken toys

He says, "My child, worry not. I will work everything out for you".

Assured, we go about our lives, hoping and praying everyday that He will indeed work out a tangible solution to our problems. We believe that while God figures something out, we can do something to fix things up. So we look for alternatives and explore possible solutions.

Days come and go, and still no distinct answer from God suffices. On our side, there is no sign of success from all our endeavors.

We grow impatient, and run back to Him in frustration, perhaps anger.

We say, "God, you said that you will work something out. But I do not see anything. Come, give it back to me. I will work everything out by myself."

God answered, "My child, how could I have done anything? You kept holding on your broken toys, and did not release them from your hands in the first place!"

Sometimes, we think we can "help" God find a solution to our miseries and problems, but He never works that way. When He says, "Leave it to me", He desires our total faith in Him. All we can do is pray, sit back, and watch Him work. Let me tell you this: He works WONDERS!

Tagging

After viewing many of my friends profile, I started to realize that there is one common practice: TAGGING.

It sure sounds fun to me. Imagine being tagged hundreds of times. Multiply that by five, and the Gamespot community will know everything about you.

Warriors Orochi: Under-rated?

Warriors Orochi

Warriors Orochi on the PSP is certainly a game which I feel is under-rated by Gamespot. A 4.5 out of 10? Now that is truly incredulous.

This is a team battle game, where you can switch from one to another character, up to a total of three characters in one battle. Meshing together warriors from Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors, I find that this game is really exciting.

Of course, there are several distinct setbacks. Firstly, the camera control is bad. Secondly, button mashing is evident in this game; all you have to do is jam the same button over and over again.

Nevertheless, I find the graphics really good, and the soundtrack is original as well. The one thing which really catches me is the variety of 77 characters you can play from. It is really fun exploring all these characters, as they have different abilities and can utilize different weapons. Popular in this game is the "Mushou" attack, which unleashes a deadly series of attacking moves on your enemies.

I rate this game a 7/10 for its variety of characters, soundtracks, and graphics minus the camera control and button mashing.

Under-rated? Absolutely.
