Below is a recap of what happened when I ordered a take-away meal in a fast-food outlet:
I went to the counter, ordered the food I wanted, and waited..., and waited..., and waited.
The cashier was so slow in grabbing the food. I think it must have taken around 5 seconds for him to walk the length of 1 metre (That slow).
Not only that, he laid the food on the counter, and did not bother placing them in a carrier. I was thinking, "How am I going to carry all that in my bare hands?". He gave me a quizzical look, as though saying, "Hey, I have given you your food, now go!". I asked a simple question, "May I have a carrier to store all this food please?". He said, "Oh, you need a carrier?". My mind went running wild. I mean, who wouldn't need a carrier so that you do not have to carry a box of hamburger, a cup of Coke, another cup of ice-cream, and a packet of fries with your bare hands?
Before he was out of sight, I caught a glance at him: He was serving other customers with the same snail-pace. I hope he did not ask them the same question he asked me.
Imagine, a fast food outlet serving you your food in 15 minutes. Isn't that a little bit too slow?
