Gears of War for God of War. God of War is one of my favorite series of games, I'm buying a PS3 when it comes out.SimpJee

God of War was my pick too, but not for Gears!!! Gears is the bomb man, would never trade that. But God of War is a top game too, would love to have it on the xbox. But we do get Ninja Gaiden though, and PS3 wont, which is really the reason i got the 360 instead of a PS3.

(Darn, i start sounding like a hanboy, dont i? Better check that.....)

Ninja Gaiden= the best game of all times on its gerne by miles!!

Depends on how you see things really......

If u mean to compare them with todays standards, then CoD4 (and many other recent titles) is much better than Halo. But this isnt a fair comparison. U are comparing a 6 year-old game with a brand new game based on next-gen tech.

For me, its all about the impact each game had on me when it was actually released. I mean, before i played Halo, fps' were like chinise water torture for me, i hated the gerne. Halo was the first shooter that i really liked, i actually went and bought an xbox because of it. Amazing story, great characters, battling alongside npc teammates, using different vehicles....

Halo wasnt justan awesome game, it took the gerne into a new direction and set new standards.

CoD4 is a beautiful game, with amazing graphics and very enjoyable gameplay, but thats about it. When a new one comes along with better visuals, most of us will probably forget about it.

But u will always remember Halo......

Now u decide which is better

I'd go for Assasins Creed withouy even thinkin about it. Im not much into mp and i dont need another shooter that is done in less than 6 hours, no matter how good the visuals are. Plus, im much more into my swords that bullets. But that just me.....

If u have i High end PC, why dont u try Crysis? I had a short but excellent experience with it, a absolute must-buy is ur machine can handdle it

Im very sorry to say bro, but thats exacly what happened to mine before it broke down. Anyways, try the following:

1. Make sure u have the console properly ventilated. Put it on a table

2. Same goes for the power brick, make sure it has enough air flow

3. Start prayin....

Also, do not try the towel trick. Its total bull....

Best of luck

I do agree to some extent. Someone mentioned that we get too much info on a game way before its actuall release, in which i totally agree. I think this fact and also the fact that the gaming industry is a lot more profit oriented these days is what really kills the fun of games.

I am a games since my first Atari console and i never stopped since. When i'm thinking of games that i had the most fun with, the majority that comes in mind had a common factor in them: i used to know very basic info for the game when i was picking it up. I didint really have a clue what Baldurs Gate was when i bought it, same for Halo, Ninja Gayden, Vice City, Gabriel Knight: The beast within and so on. These days u get bombarded with detailed info about the game, u get to check video updates time and time again even months before the game ships in. So, when u get to sit down with something like Assasins Creed, its not the first time u get to see the game, its only the first time u get to play it urself - u have seen it a million times already. So, there goes the WOW factor we used to get.

Secondly, because of the very big drive for sales volumes now, u get to many games that are published before they reach their actuall developing potentials. Take Devil May Cry or Halo for excample: Both original games where groundbraking and had me and most of us i think addicted for months. Then marketing and sales came along and forced the producers to replicate the success as quickly as possible so that they profit more from the momentum of the franchise in the market at the time being. The result? both sequels palled when compared to their predececors.

I think this is a new thrend that wont stop easily

1. You have no case

2. Microsoft is being generous and fixing the RROD problems you may have for free, at the cost of 1.1billion dollars to them, that they did not have to spend.

It sucks, too bad. You can't sue.

PiNwOrM

he can sue, and u r a total fool if u think ms is being generous. THEY R OBLIGED TO FIX IT!!!

My friend went from about to buy a 360 to getting a PS3 because of it. The new $399 price was also a major factor though, as well as the fact that he only wants a console to play the new Guitar Hero and Rock Band games and little else.

If the red ring was a minor or non-existent issue, I think the PS3 would be in even worse shape. If you take the widespread failure rate into account, it actually shows how strong the 360 brand is that it's so successful despite that fault.

Chirico_Cuvie

Thats largely due to the better games lineup and the easy-for-game makers-to-use hardware. I think PS3 will catch up eventually
