In current news, I've finally reached level 12 8). Took forever...but even worse is that the level cap for level 12 is worse than level 11 (obviously, I guess). Stupidity of the Day: have you ever had to keep a secret, or wanted to know a secret that everyone else seemed to keep from you? One particular "secret" is like a pact and oath taken by everyone who's finished Baten Kaitos. It's apparently a plot twist so big that it can't be discussed. It's the identity of the final, final boss at the end of the game. No one would tell me, so I searched the net (via Google), and found my answer. And guess what: when I finish the game, I'll spoil the entire ending of it (and warn those who haven't finished it, or are wanting to play it, ahead of time). But for anyone who wishes to know who it is right now...
Spoilers!!!
The final boss of Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean is Geldoblame.
Spoilers End!!!
Now onto the main topic of discussion. I'm anticipating a lot of things right now, including (but not limited to): becoming an X-Guardian on AdventureQuest, beating Baten Kaitos, beating LostMagic (which I've begun to play again), my birthday, downloading games on the Wii, the launch of the Wii, most things having to do with the Wii in general, starting Part 2 in CCITB, etc. While I'm on the subject, I went around GameSpot and added all of the games that I owned for the NES/SNES/other systems (before I either lost the game/console, sold the game/console, or gave them away). It was a lot of games, which means that later today (when the emblem update runs), I'll have acheived the Serious Collector and Old-School/Hella Old-School emblems. Ironically enough, it made 201 games (barely made it ;)).
Lately, I've been watching a lot of videos on YouTube, the best being episodes of Naruto that haven't been dubbed yet (making them better and far superior, other than the fact that I have to hope the subtitles aren't blurred). I missed episodes 44 and 45 (Kiba VS Naruto), and I wanted to watch the greatest battle thus far (episodes 128-134, Naruto VS Sasuke). I liked the AMVs better, personally, but it was awesome :D. I might watch episode 133 again just for the hell of it ;). Another series I decided to temporarily revisit was Tenchi Muyo (got to 16 episodes before it was kept only to Japan and not the USA). Then I need to catch episodes 77-79 of Naruto, then I think it's 48-50 for Rock Lee VS Gaara...God Naruto is awesome!!!
For those who've read my fan fic, I'm sure you're probably wondering a few things about the Annihilators. The fact that each has their own unique special power (control over souls, creating mana crystals, etc.) is what gives me a bit of interest in developing chapters that put them in certain situations where their powers are best suited. In other words, I'm liking how I've customized their abilities from the previous version of Chaos Chronicles. Isaac6356 is probably the only one here who's read the original version (and knows how bad it was compared to right now), so he knows their abilities to a certain extent. I modified them a bit, and here's a slight spoiler of the powers of the Annihilators of Earth, Fire, and Wind (for anyone who's anxious to know) -
Fire - Known as the element of absorbtion, the Annihilator of Fire uses a special system to control, absorb, and use mana. Pocket dimensions in the surrounding areas can be opened to store mana (usually within close proximity of the Annihilator), and then control it properly. Ripping holes into realms and other main dimensions (Heaven, Hell, the Soul Gate, parallel universes, etc.) takes more time and concentration, and is even limited to transporting energy in between dimensions (solid objects are harder). A multitude of options on how to manipulate the mana are open to the user (whether it be their own energy or another's). Several other factors of the Annihilator of Fire's powers are currently unknown.
Wind - Known as the element of zephyr (codeword for time), moving particles of wind behind the user in every area (or specific areas) and charging them with energy gives an effect of speed. Further speed is acheived when time around the user is slowed down, which makes timing attacks and coordinating movements easier. Combining these two effects creates something called "chronosis". The speed of other objects can be affected in the same way, and is usually done so for a strategic advantage. Using the wind for levitation and more things is also a specialty. Again, little info is known about the true capabilities of the Annihilator of Wind.
Earth - Known as the element of nature and life, animating anything in the natural environment is possible, with effects such as turning the ground into spikes, pillars, or living creatures. However, this isn't all there is to the Annihilator of Earth. Probably the biggest part of the powers of Earth is plants. They can be sprouted wherever the user's mana is present, they can be given a consciousness and be controlled into doing several things, and they can even be mutated to form stronger species that have their own mana source. Seeds, buds, flowers, trees, vines...all are possibilities that can be created by simply applying mana.
For anyone who still doesn't understand what they are, Fire is control over mana, Wind is control over time, and Earth is control over nature. The Annihilators that I can't wait to work with are Fire and Earth (that's Krypto and Kal respectively), mostly because of their roles in fighting the demi-Chaos of Machina and Mind (Part 2 and Part 3).
I take back a few of my thoughts on LostMagic. Ever since I got the Lost Magic of Fire (the Fire Rain rune), things have been a lot easier (when used as the first rune in a duo-rune combo, it makes the next element the corresponding attribute and strength of a wyrm that flies across the screen for a few seconds and kills anything that it finds). By a stroke of luck (and some skill with the Haste rune combo), I beat the General of the Gravel Stone and got the Lost Magic of Earth (the Boulder rune). Afterwards, I had to face the Child of the Seeing Wind (my nickname for Trista) with my Earth monsters (which took a lot of damage) rather than Wind monsters that would've absorbed her hits, but done less damage to her (I had to face her right after the General of the Gravel Stone). They killed her fast, though (she, stupidly enough, teleported right into my crowd of monsters instead of away to one of the nearby mini-islands, and they killed her). The Lost Magic of Wind (the Teleport rune) was then mine. Now I just have to get the trio-rune, get the element dragons, and beat the game 8).
A long blog, yes. In fact, longer than most. But I'm basically done and out of things to say. I'll be awaiting my new emblems, posting and tagging a bit more, and watching a few videos in the remaining part of my day (as well as trying to get into AdventureQuest [damn ever-changing server cap, like I said]).
Until then 8).
