Yeah, block works(although you may still take some damage),ninpo works better, but in the 7th chapter all you gotta do is RUN AWAY FROM IT :). Wait till you encounter two of them in Chapter 12, blocking won't be of much help if you're low on life, use Ninpo.

Well...because it is hard. Harder than every other game on the market this gen for sure. If you're really finding it easy, then you sure must be a super human gamer. But if you learnt from your mistakes and perfected the skills needed to play it in the earlier chapters then deeming it easy is really not right. Coz that's the whole point anyway. A game is hard till you learn how to play it. I hope you're not equating hard with impossible.

Gears of War

I remember buying GeOW, Oblivion and PGR3 together. Didn't even put the Oblivion and PGR3 discs in the drive untill I managed to kill RAAM...lol.

I use the Dragon Sword for wide open area combata(esp. involving large imps and werewolves), dual swords for closed corridors etc, and the scythe on most mini/main bosses. Lunar is also good, but it gives you less freedom to move while chaining combos. Overall, DS is the best/most balanced weapon in the game, and in chapter 11, it becomes even mightier!!

The Bow in Oblivion, I've had times where I've shot an imp 10 times in the head and he's still fighting with me...lol..each arrow still sticking on to its head. Talk about head-shots doing great damage :)

So, the first week sales figures of NG2 are out. I personally think 215k(worldwide) is a good number for this kind of a game. Considering that the original sold about 350K in NA in it's first month, 174K sales in NA in the first week is certainly good. Not to mention the not so casual nature of this game. Here's to hoping it reaches the 1mn mark that it truly deserves, and maybe more. What are your opinions on this?

↑↑↑↑..well said, and I totally agree. This is my first time playing a Ninja Gaiden game, and I must say..I don't find it cheap at all. It's just like the good ol days of NES and Atari when games kicked your butt :) I'm lovin every moment of it. I did notice my first horrible framerate drop last night though, Chapter 10, when you run up the stairs of the temple and there's like a 100 Ninjas that keep respawning. It almost came to slow-mo at some points...but it looked rather cool though...lol. One thing I don't understand though, I died 3 times on chapter 9(all on the last boss-2 dragons) but I got a Head Ninja rank, however, I didn't die a single time on chapter 10, even beat Elizebet on the first try, but I still got a Lesser Ninja rank...how? Sorry if this is a stupid question, but how exactly does NG give you ranks after chapters?..any help will be appreciated...thanks.

After 47% completion, I left it and have never looked back. No more than a 6.5-7.0 for me, but that's probably because I don't really dig the sandbox(crime) genre type so much. I can understand how others might rate it perfect though. It really is amazing with the detail that's been put into Liberty City, the gameplay just doesn't appeal to me so much. As far as console games go, the only games that come close to a perfect 10 for me are GeoW and Oblivion, and NG2 is catching up quite fast too, this generation of course.
