[QUOTE="CaseyWegner"]we heard this at the beginning of the last generation too. at the rate it must be falling, we won't see it in our lifetimes. :?Stonin

What I don't understand is how people can ignore the fact it generates more revenue than anything else out there . The real truth is that PC gaming is evolving, not dying.

I agree that it's evolving and not dying. I love my PC too. But you have made this statement twice now. And it is incorrect, PC gaming amassed about 1.33 Bn USD in 2007, whereas console gaming raked in close to 18 Bn, heck the month of Feb 2008 raked in 1.8 Bn USD alone!! PC gaming is of course big on MMORPGS, esp WoW, and the PC accounts for the Lion's share of about 90% of this online revenue, which was about 4 Bn USD in 2007. So as of now, no, it does not generate more revenue than anything else out there(for gaming that is).

"I had complaints about this game also, I got bashed for voicing them. Def a AA game in my book. Its a good game but does not even compare to the greatness that NG1 was for it time. Wait till you get to the 9th level boss and have to use arrows but the camera dose not zoom out, so you cant see all the black birds flying at you. The game is unbalanced, overall the game is easy there are just a few bosses that are cheap. I also think the graphics suck, enviroments are lame and the skulls should unlock something and be hidden better."

You do know that you can press RB to toggle the camera from auto to freelook right...? As for the graphics, that's all opinion..and in my opinion it's certainly not a Gears or Uncharted but it doesn't suck either. Skulls do unlock something...achievements. As for them being hidden better, maybe you're right...but then I didn't get my copy of NG2 to solve ridiculous(a la HL2) puzzles. Although I can understand your disappointment if you were looking for a sorta complete gaming experience with NG2.

The main reason DMC4 was graphically impressive to me was because DMC3 looked like crud.

Going from crappy PS2 graphics to PS3. 360 graphics is a bigger leap than going from top of the line xbox graphics to 360 graphics. Especially if the art style was pretty much taken as far as it could on the original xbox.

While it might not look as impressive at first glance, NG2's graphics are at least twice as detailed as Sigma. The enemy's are a lot more detailed. and so are the environments. Even with all the extra details It has double the enemy's on screen. And is twice as fast.

If you add all of it up NG2 is more impressive than DMC4 graphically. In my opinion anyway..

Could not have agreed anymore. People just want every game to look like Gears or Uncharted. For the amount of fast paced action on-screen, the sheer number of enemy AI present sometimes and still having those good looking backdrops is an achievement in itself. And I sincerely hope all the people who say DMC4 was better graphically are talking about the cutscenes(those were mindblowing) coz in-game visuals, I really don't see a difference between them, in fact I like NG2 more varied environments a tad better.

If you're not easily put off by ruthless and challenging enemy AI then NG2 it is!! Played the BF-BC beta..nothing really amazing about it. I'd rather replay the COD4 campaign again than BF-BC.

Totally agree, it's the most fun I've had in a long time. Well, my favourite weapon has been the Dragon Sword(I'm still on Chapter 10), but I've also enjoyed the scythe quite a bit after getting it from Volf, it probably has the best UT in the game. Haven't used any other weapons, except for the Lunar in earlier chapters and the Kusuri-Gama sometimes. This game is underrated to the point of frivolity.

Umm..actually NGB, DMC and GoW all stand at 94(universal acclaim) at Metacritic as of now.

Anyway, I haven't played previous NG games, but I have played both GoWs and DMC 1,3 and 4. GoW delivers the best OVERALL package, without doubt. DMC was great, DMC 3 was good and DMC 4 is good, but NG2 is far far superior to all DMC games IMHO. For the record, I played through and thoroughly enjoyed DMC4, but to compare it's GAMEPLAY with NG2 is pure blasphemy, to me atleast. What makes (or breaks) an action/fighting game is the mechanics, combat system and challenge. Quite honestly, DMC 4 doesn't even hold a candle to NG2 in those aspects.

Thanks for the info Zeliard :). Level 2, as in the weapon levels right? Although I think I have performed it a few times, judging by your description...but I'm gonna try it again just to be sure. All of my weapons but the claws and kusuri-gama(both level 2) are maxed anyway.Untill Volf, I used the DS exclusively and now it's been a mix of Scythe and DS, DS specially, I find this the most balanced weapon in the game, but the scythe is no slouch either. I'll say this again, this game is not cheap in it's difficulty..there are a few really troublesome parts, but dodge-run-dodge-run and prioritise your enemy kills and you should come out with minimal damage(esp during those prolonged fights with rocket launchers all over the place). As for the camera, it does tend to annoy sometimes, but it's nothing game-breaking. In my opinion most reviews which are cying about the difficulty are doing so because they were so stressed out by the deadline hanging on their necks and NG2 wasn't making things any easier for them :). I'm sold to this franchise now, will dl NGB from XBL as soon as I finish this one.

Ummm.no..I have no strategy guide helping me. All I did was disagree with the statement that "you can button mash your way through the first half"....right? Is that so hard to understand..really? Where did I say I knew more than that guy(who's an expert) or said that I'm an expert. I conceded myself that I'm a noob. Plain and simple thing--you can't button mash your way through the FIRST HALF...that's all...peace :). If anyone here or anywhere else for that matter can show me a video where he doesn't dodge adeptly and simply button mashes Y and X and beats Genshin on Chapter 2, I'll accept the button mashing statement.Have u even played the game by the way?

TreyoftheDead

I have not played the game yet get that out first. 2nd I have played previous NG games (NG & NGS) and for you to mention all those maneuvers you would have to first play the game or games extensively I even know that and you basically mentioned everything an expert knows.

I see nothing in his post that suggests that he must be a Ninja Gaiden veteran. In fact, anyone who has reached Genshin and is at least a competent gamer would be able to discuss the tactics he mentioned...even if they've never played a NG game.

Thanks :). Yeah, I mean..even the game threw a message on screen at the end of chapter 1 telling me to use block. That's when I started paying attention. Then, when I was being pummeled by Genshin..I realized the true advantage of dodging. I don't remember which site it was, but their review said that Zedonius was the hardest boss fight they had...you know..I beat that sucker in 30 seconds flat with dodging/running and airborne slashes...lol. The rocket launching guys were annoying though, I didn't die a single time in that chapter though, but yeah...it felt just a tad cheap at some times. Finshed chapter 9 last night...will get on with the rest of the game when I find free time...pretty busy this week. As someone mentioned, flying swallow doesn't work too well with the bosses(it does on some mini bosses though), except for Alexei. With Imps and Werevolves, flying swalllows are godsend...dodging/running(continuously...stop for nothing)...successive flying swallows(three hits)...and you may even come out of the fight without a single hit with as many as 20-30 werevolves around. And yes, I hate those dogs too. One question(to all NG veterans), do I have to wait for the Izuna Drop scroll? I know the button combo, I've tried it...but I've no idea what it actually looks like..so I don't know if I'm pulling it off or not. Any help on this would be appreciated. Oh, and if I didn't say this earlier...the game rocks!!!It has now moved from my 3rd favourite 360 game to the second spot!
