[QUOTE="foxhound_fox"]Any other source that is not a forum post?Chau_
no.. but i see this popping up all over the place now..

If it's just on a forum post with no real source, regardless of it popping up everywhere, little faith should be put into it

Thats more the fault of the developers than the platform makers. You can't control the ammount of AAA titles you make unless you pump out a ton of first party titles. Microsoft's lead has nothing to do with the ammount of AAA titles. Just look at all the other platforms. AAA titles are in an extreme drougth right now save on PCs. Its merely developers.Vandalvideo

true. developers before had to make a good game in order to sell to the main market. because of halo, there are many 360 fans who just want shooters, so that's all developers pump out. nowadays, it isn't a real game unless it has enough gore to make a zombie vomit

Could MGS4 live without uncompressed audio? Is it really That important to the MGS4 structure that it needs the 60% of the Blu-ray Disc for Uncompressed audio. Let say, Hypotehticaly, that MGS4 was coming out for the 360.the storage of Blu-ray would only be needed for the audio, so the 360s DVD9s would have to compress it. But would this be a fatal blow to the game itself, making it impossible to do on a DVD9? I think uncompressed and compressed sound the same and dont lose clarity. black_awpN1

also have to factor in audio and anything else they put in. obliviously, they would have to compress and cut coners on a DVD9, as the do on all games who have storage systems older than a few years. and uncompressed would be better, maybe not as noticible, but would still be better

i'll say multiplayer games, the story probably stops here. if there is a huge fan demand, they might make a new story for fanservice and package it in a game,. anything is possible

In fact. I try to check past history war consoles.

3DO is high price $699.99 (6 million sold world) maybe same PS3 will sold. If Sony will decide cut price on PS3 then (10 million) in world.

you try find out happened past history war consoles.

opi-14

once agaon someone trie to throw out the history card...sigh. okay, if video game history repeated itself, the cheeper gamecube would've outsold the PS2 and XBox, the XBox would've failed like every other non-Japanese console that came out before the XBox did, the disk would still be a doomed format, and Nintendo would still have the best 3rd party support.

Gaming history is not something you can always trust.

Now that that's outta my system, THe PS3 is chugging along doing pretty much the same as the 360 did, with competition and huge price. and if memory serves, way back when when the 360 was doing poorly, Xbox fans pointed out it had still to catch on while other fanboys harrassed them about their "doomed" console. hmm, i guess history can repeat itself.

*note-you agree with me, you are saying the PS3 will sell like the 360 or better. you disagree, and you admit that the 360 will lose soon. make your choice fanboys :P

If the gameplay is so great, why only an 8 in Gameplay [From Gamespot review] where as Halo and Halo 2 got a 10? :PStevo_the_gamer

If you need an explanation to why a PS3 game got a score lower than a 360 game, then you haven't been paying attention.

If piracy ran rampant on Nintendo, they would go broke because games is all the have, so they make up stupid schemes like the ds' touchscreen and wiimote, combined with cheap, weak hardware to sell their games at lower prices than competitors and that is the main reason why stay in business...shadow8585

Pitartes can pretty much work through the touch screen and wiimote, it's not really that hard. and as much of nintendo's cartridge based formats (Don't know about the Wii) are not region locked, playing pirated, imported, and homebrew games is actually usually easy on Nintendo's consoles, compared to the other consoles.

Cheap and weak? the Wii isn't the technological powerhouse that the PS3 and 360 are, but it provides a fun experience, which is why you play games on gaming sytems. On top of that, owning the rights to the 3rd most popular anime in Japan (and probably higher in America) Pokemon helps as well. They also make money off their consoles, unlike their competitors I will give you that their games are a huge part of their business, but when their games sell so much that they: cause plastic shortages, become the best selling games in both the packaged with a concole and unpackaged, and are acredited with being the best game of all time (Pokemon Ruby and Saphire, Super Mario Bros., Pokemon Blue, Legend of Zelda: OOT respectivly), can you really blame them? it'd be hard not to make a huge amount of money

it looks pretty good for the beta, but there are a few problems from what i have seen, Personally, I don't like the new character models, i think their a little to bright, flamboyant if you will.
