It's still early in the "New Gen", and already the PS3 is looking to be sinking faster than the Titanic. The PS3 is sitting in last place and isn't making any ground on the Wii or 360, and is in fact losing ground to both consoles. And at $600, the PS3 has crashed landed without even taking off.

For all of you people still sitting on the fence about buying a new console, which one would you prefer? This poll is for people that haven't bought a "Next Gen" machine yet, or for current PS3 owners that will have to purchase a new console.

The Wii, and inexpensive console with the unique fun controller, Mario and Zelda galore, limited multimedia features, limited online that is free, geared much more to the casual gamers.

Or the 360, a more expensive console with superior hardware and a great online but have to pay a fee each year, Halo and GTA galore, great multimedia functions, geared more to the hardcore gamers.

i'm betting your the same guy who asked everyone wether they would get the Gamecube or Xbox when it was thought that th PS2 failed. Lets take a look at how that turned out

This is assuming that the definiton of 'flop' is this: a game that is hyped up turns out to be very disappointing.

 

After watching all the videos on xbox marketplace and reading all the sites talking about halo 3 Ive came to the conclusion that it is impossible for halo 3 to flop. The fact of the matter is that it is going to be an amazing game with fantastic ai for the single player campaign along with a great story, and the multiplayer is going to be phenominal with balanced weapons, a-symetrical maps with chokepoints, the man cannon, and being able to replay the battle with different camera angles and slow motion, now you can see the battle from the enemies eyes, what weapons he picked up and in what order, where he went etc. After watching the leaked footage and reading all there is to read about halo 3...who does not want to play this game?

I think that the excepted definition of flop is a game that doesn't live up to the expectations. and as halo 3 is hyped as a high AAA or a AAAA, it is very possible. Halo 3 does look fun, but it can still flop, like any game can flop. 

Such as Twilight Princess is for Wii, and Gears of War is for 360, are there any PS3 games (ALREADY IN STOCK, GAMES TO COME ARE NOT VALID IN HERE!!!) which games are worth the price of the console itself? I can think of no game on PS3 which can be called as a console seller. The best ones right now are VF5 (TOTALLY NOT WORTH 600 BUCKS) and Resistance (Good one, but there are A LOT better ones of this genre), and some multiplats, which for the fact of being multiplat gives no edge to PS. Can you think of any game AVAILABLE which can be a console seller?curono

Motorstorm, Resistance, VF5 are all together console sellers. Nintendo is smart with releases, they have a heavy hitter when the console starts to sell consoles, Sony AND MS didn't do this. when the 360 came out, it's only good games were multiplat. ask a 360 owner back thn, and they would say Halo 3 later justifies consoles now. look to the future, my man

just like once upon a time when vhs sales were destroying dvd sales, and we all know how that turned out 

i was looking about review and articles for both handhelds. Then i looked at the games. Clearly i liked psp games like metal gear ops, soco. Then i looked at graphics and clearly psp had better. Then i thought what is soo good about the ds. Anyway i really like games like mario kart and other mario games but i wanted a more mature gaming selection. SO i bought the psp. Will get it in the mail soon. Anyway i wanted to know why ppl think ds or psp is good.moe85

shooters, fighters, sports, and every other game that is usually on the MS and Sony consoles, the psp wins in a long shot. the psp's online is also better, which isn't saying much. but basiclly every game on the ds is fun to play and out there, it destroys in originality, and it's rpg's are better. overall your preference will decide which is better
