Brilliant, I'll do that then.

I've never bought anything off of steam, I prefer physical copies, but it might be the way to go here with this one. And for games over 10 years old I like to pick them up for under £5, I normally get them around for around £2-3.
Hello all, I want to buy Half Life 1 but can only find decent prices on used copies, so my question is if I buy one used will I be able to play it or does it have one of those key codes that only enable the original owner to use it. Thanks.
Crisis over, I yanked out the hard drive in order to check it was properly inserted and it first made me panic because it took me out of the game and back to the dashboard, then I started the game and everything was saved automatically anyway, NICE. thanks everyone.
Yeah I have the space on the hard drive, it's a 120gb drive and I only have about three game saves on it. And nope I don't use cheats. My nephew will be around again tomorrow so I can just leave it on till then or I could get him to throw a sickie!. Is it OK to leave the xbox on for a few days if no-one can help me get it saved?...thanks.
Anyone know why I can't save my progress?...it gives me three options, save, load and quit and it won't let me save. I can't move up to the save option. I've tried at all sorts of places, at the secret base, during gameplay, but it won't let me save anywhere. I'm playing with my nephew and I'm getting in trouble because it's past his bedtime!
It could be the drive I suppose, it's a new external one, a Samsung. Maybe it dosen't spin fast enough or something, I think I read something in the Batman readme about speeds. I'm just updating it's drivers and software. Can I copy the information off the disc onto my hard drive and install it that way?...
right I don't know where I'm supposed to be looking in event viewer but it's event ID 51 if that means anything to you and it justs says CDROM?...
Thanks for that, I didn't think it would exist but due to the problems I've had I thought I'd ask as there seems to be programs for everything these days. My current problem is Batman Arkham Asylum, I posted a thread on it earlier in the PC games thread. But I've had problems with evrything other than three games which are Ghostbusters, Crysis and a Mortimer Beckit game for my nephew.
I tried all day yesterday with borderlands getting various errors, I ended up solving that one by installing Windows 7 service pack 1, and by ignoring the wizard options and doing what I thought was right.
With Batman I run the installer and the batman picture appears after I select English, then when I press install game it states that the specified file was not found?...here's the link to the thread so I don't get into trouble for opening two threads for the same subject, which I didn't, I just thought that there may have been like a pack of software that's commonly used for gaming that I could get like codecs.

I will run the Event viewer now and post back.
Thanks.
