I was just looking to buy marvel ultimate alliance 2 pc and erm well I'm confused. I can't find it for sale. So I assumed it wasn't out on PC, then I looked on some boards and found people have it on PC. Other posts stated that it wasn't comming out on the PC, then there were more posts saying they were playing it. So I looked harder and have found it available for pre order, but the posts where I read people had been playing it were dated 2009?...

Get a Xbox 360 Slim. Or if you don't have the money, just play on high volume and you will ignore the sound coming from the Xbox and enjoy explosions in the game you are playing.

Superkhanz

I'd love to, that would be a very easy option and I have a cracking surround sound set up but I tend to play games late at night and the neighbours don't like to be awakened by napalm and blood curling screams, funny people I know.

I hate wearing headsets late at night, I get paranoid when I can't hear things going on around me, I blame it on having a rough childhood and all the Criminal Minds episodes!. It's like the song says, "I always feeel like, sombodys watching me!....), gotta go have a listen to that now!.

So the DVD drive is mainy at fault yes, but even then it will still be a little noisy. If I were to place the fan with a silent one and run the games from the hard drive that should completely cure it yes?...or are there any other components causing noise in there?...

install the games to the hard drive, and why would you pack it up just because its loud? dumb reason

right4dead

I don't uderstand what you mean by "pack it up", I don't think anyone said that did they. I don't want to not use it if that's what you mean, obviously not if I'm willing to go to the trouble of modding it.

I will try loading the game to the hard drive first. I always assumed I was the fan making all the noise but apparently it's he DVD drive. Some people have taken it out and wrapped it in sound dampening foam, but it only managed to quiet it 5 db, so I won't bother with that. If it is the drive then I will be well happy with it running the games off the hard drive. I bet the fans are a contributing factor though so I might look into replacing thhat, hopefully Arctic Cooling make a replacement or some other high quality fan maanufacturer, we shall see.

Build a sound proof box with a hinged door, slide your slide inside of said sound proof box, and close the door. Done and done.

Prophylactixx

I'm thinking about doing just that, I know there was company that built custom boxes once upon a time but I have an old PC case lying around and might make something out of that with some soundproofing foam. The thing is though it would have to have a glass front or something for the wireless remote. or are the xboxe 360's connected by raidio waves?..either way it needs to be able to conect to the controller. I also have a cupboard in my room I could put it in and just extend the wires, so new questions I suppose are either how to mod a PC case to house and make an xbox 360 quite, or how to extend the wireless capabilities into the room past a closed cupboard?...

thanks to everyone else too. As for turning the soundtrack up I can't because I'm up at all hours, and the same goes for music, I could use headphone I suppose but I don't like them and I enjoy the surround sound.
