So people value them as achieving certain actions in a game, and they represent those actions. For me i see them as a way to give the game more, for instance, I beat batman:AA in 2 days on hard and collected all of the riddler challenges. Last generation that would have been the end of my AWESOME time with the title, but since there are challenge trophies, and combo trophies it made the game last a lot longer while working for those trophies. Its fun, it adds replay value, and for some, bragging rightsWell I was always under the impression that trophies are useless but so many people value them and go on and on about getting them and building collections...
So can someone clear it up and tell me what the deal is with trophies? Why would you want them?
*This has probably been asked before but I'm relatively new and couldnt find a relevent thread.

The only bad thing about ps plus is that the games you get with ps plus are erased when your subscription endsm, you need to resubscribe for playing them again!DeathShredderXi hear ya but that does make since i had a friend who wanted to do the 3 month subscription and download wipeout hd, critter crunch, and syphon filter and then cancel it so he'd get 30$ worth of games for 17.99$ its a nice feature and with this maybe we can get a party chat update in the future i would keep paying just for that haha.
yep i hit all those and even platinum-ed borderlands man we need rpgs badyes you did list a LOT of games. what about Oblivion/ME/Fallout ? or even Borderlands?

I understand your pain. Unfortunately the number of quality RPGs has dipped over the last few years due to an influx in the demand for shooters, sandbox and action games. So, I can't really recommend any new gen games to play, except maybe Mass Effect 2 since you like DA. ME2 is actually pretty fun. But other than that, all I can say is the classics are a gold mine. I have all of my original PSX/PS2 RPGs and I still play them to this day. I just finished playing Breath of Fire 4 last month, I played Vagrant Story before that and had so much more enjoyment out of those then a lot of the new gen games. By the way, Nier is terrible.
mass effect one was great but i feel that MA2 fell short i cleared it on meh pc and i didn't get the same fun factor that the first gave me thank you for your input sir, but id have to disagree with your finishing remark i think that as far as rpgs go Nier is probably the best this year. had smooth gameplay and i really enjoyed the story, especially when it gave you more cutscenes in the 2nd and 3rd ng+. granted that's my opinion and most will disagree

ok so im having a strange day. i decided to try trinity universe this morning (im a fan of disgaea) and after 7 hrs i was sorely disappointed. So i fell back on my attempt to get a platinum in Nier and of course i got hit with a trophy glitch that failed to give me the trophy for obtaining 50% of all words in the game, when i was sitting on 52%. BAD TIMES it would take me well over 25hrs to earn that back. I thought about trying star ocean international, but i didn't like it on the 360 back then. Ive played and disliked resonance of fate, final fantasy xiii, cross edge, and demons souls (don't give me **** i gave it 30 hrs and i didn't like it) IS there any way i could squeeze an idea or suggestion out of one of the civilized members of this forum. BTW i loved dragon age, disgaea3, Valkiria Chron, white knight, folklore, and eternal sonata frostybanana
Well, that's fine. I'm sure there are plenty of people that enjoyed Nier. Not my cup of tea though. But yeah, honestly, you're best off trying old some classics that you might've missed on. It's sad, but the RPGs are dying out a bit.
it really is sad isnt it?
