@attirex: They make money by providing entertainment, so they do care about entertainment. Whether or not that is their end goal is irrelevant to whether or not it is entertaining.
@Hak: "The Fantastic Four are a bit of a hot button issue over in the MCU these days, thanks largely to the mysterious Phase 4 and the recent Disney buyout of 20th Century Fox placing the team's film rights back in the potential MCU lineup. But the comics are, thankfully, a different story."
"a different story" was said in that specific context. We don't know of concrete plans for the Fantastic Four in movies, but they do have comics right now.
@paperwarior17: Yes, though this isn't quite the same, as it isn't a "twist" in this movie. Also, if this is a comedy, then that is also a big difference; a twist which seems silly in a drama could work fine in a comedy.
@jedijax: Yeah, I don't think the show itself fooled people, I think their own preconceptions did. We've seen the story that Phil thinks the show should've given us plenty often.
@jedijax: I got a month of Marvel Unlimited, and I was also really enjoying "Amazing Spider-Man" and "Sentry". Though I should mention that I hadn't really read comics before.
@Flyin3lvl: If you sell it, and use it to buy another gambling pack, then that is the same as putting it back in the machine: you may get a payout, you may get nothing. Keep in mind, most cards that you could sell back are worth less than they cost to buy if you get them from a gambling pack. In fact, I recently tried to sell off some bulk cards, and stores weren't taking them because they are saturated.
The fact that you are getting cards back from these gambling packs, rather than money as with a slot machine, doesn't change the fact that it is gambling; you are still gambling on whether or not you can even sell them or trade them. Moreover, the idea that selling what you get from a gambling pack and using it to buy more gambling packs is different from using the money you get from a slot machine to purchase more spins is obviously asinine.
@Flyin3lvl: Did you read the article? The issue which the law purports to solve is children gambling, so that's what we're talking about. Slot machines occasionally give you a little something back, too. It's still gambling.
