Far Cry 4 revealed and all you guys want to talk about is how racist Far Cry is? How about that character?? He looks like an evil metrosexual. That is pretty wildly different from the usual archetype of an evil villain in video games. Seems like a bold move to me and I'm kind of shocked that Caro didn't care to even mention it. He might event be a flamboyant gey man or transgendered, which would be very different from what you ever see on the box art of a AAA first person shooter.
The Kinect will probably become a lot more relevant once Oculus VR hits off and Microsoft either wants to support it or reveal their own VR headset. That's if VR hits off at all.
@hardeddie Kinect being essential for the Xbox One wasn't a lie. It was essential. They designed that system to work with the Kinect. As explained in the video, it makes navigating their UI easier. That UI was built for the Kinect, and I'm sure there was a lot of technical things linking the machine to the peripheral. Just because it's now being released without the Kinect doesn't mean it wasn't essential. It means they had to re-engineer the console to work without it. And that will likely involve having to do a lot more work over the coming years in stuff like building a new UI designed for the game controller.
I like that this show has a few seconds at the end of just a black screen. It's subtle, but it gives you ample time to grab your mouse and turn off that dumb autoplay thing from switching you to the next video.
Still no heists. LOL. This online mode is making tens of millions of dollars in microtransactions and they they still can't add the one feature they hyped us about most.
"their artificial intelligence isn't anything to write home about, either. They're easily baited away with a thrown bottle or lured into a bear trap by the ringing of an alarm clock"
Isn't that how it should be? Would you rather have them ignore the noises? How is that smart AI? I'd find it frustrating if I threw a bottle and the enemies weren't distracted by it.
