*Omg, my original title was editted out. All I said was (synonym for Happy, rhymes with Fay) That's a rude word now? Sheesh, lighten up autocorrection system

I'm playing a 'good aligned' to neutral character and when I go into town I wear all the 'attractive' tattoos and 'bright' clothes. I no longer need to flirt to pick up women. They either fall in love with me while I flash my trophies or I just talk normally and they're instantly ready to demand the wedding ring.

I've been married once and I haven't been divorced. I had her follow me, punched a guard in the face and let her stand between me and the guard. Afterwards I apologised to the guard and escaped all punishment for the assault. My stats don't even consider me 'widowed'. It's literally as though the game thinks my wife was abducted by aliens.

All this should make picking up men in a 'equal opportunities' game easy right? Well it's not. I am yet to get even a tiny peep of a microscopic heart appearing over any of the men's heads. Once, while flashing a trophy, a man said something like he could 'worship a guy like that' but when I talked to him, he just said the usual "erm...sorry. Wish I was a woman, I'm flattered but" lines.

I want my next life partner to be a man. Equal ops for all.

*This could be a touchy thread. I've seen others out there where people just ask if Fable 2 will have SS marriages again and the topic poster is accused of needing to flaunt their gayness. I am a woman & curious to play this. That is all. I am not homophobic and as long as I don't have to watch I don't mind*

What's going on with the cutscenes in Hitman Blood Money? I noticed that the first 6 or so levels have 2 cutscenes each at the start. First there is a scene showing the guy in a wheelchair (who has a face like a badly CGIed land mine victim), talking to a reporter. Then there's a second cutscene showing Agent 47 getting his mission. Around about level "You Better Watch Out..." the first cutscene seems to be missing. This continues for the next couple of levels. I haven't played further than 2-3 levels more to find out if they come back.

However I believe they DO come back because in the 'movies' folder there is:

M01_Inte.bik logically through to M06_Inte.bik and then nothing until M10_Inte.bik, then M12_Inte.bik & M13_Inte.bik. Googling the 'missing' files yields 0 results, yet Googling the existing files yields many results (which gives me the impression that I am not alone and this game isn't meant to have these files in PC format).

This is frustrating because not only does it ruin the continuity and make me feel like I'm missing out on an expected treat after the many hours it takes me to get Silent Assassin rank for each level but also the story doesn't seem right. While I admit I haven't played 1 or 2 of the levels before the next cutscene that's available (if I skip ahead and watch it from my movies folder), I don't think this matters. In previous levels the actual level content doesn't really add any info to the cutscene story (esp as the wheelchair/ex FBI guy seems to get 47 and his motives/deeds all wrong).

I Wikipedia'd the storyline and if my cutscenes are really all they had to go on, then the wiki team are very astute indeed. Their plot does make sense but I wouldn't have worked that all out from the gaps I'm seeing.

Also I noticed that YouTube's of the cutscenes from different formats such as Xbox (I think it was Xbox, could be PS2/3) showed a cutscene for Level 7 (You Better Watch Out) but it wasn't anything I hadn't seen. I think the PC had that same scene as the intro for the level before.

Anyone know what's going on with the absences and if there's any content I'm missing (if so where to get it or at least view it)? TIA!!!

Some of my guns, like Pulse Rifle and Submachine Gun sometimes will only fire in single shot mode. I don't know if it's ammo related or if there is a control that alters this?

I haven't done anything that I know of to lose automatic fire. I didn't choose anything different. Sometimes this fixes itself but I dunno what's going on. It's driving me nuts. A single shot submachine gun is weak and useless and this is getting me killed.

I found a spell list. There is a list of numbers on the side which I think could be spell codes but I'm not sure. Superior Resitence is there with #1014.

For future reference got to NWVault for anything you need about the game.

Buffalo_Soulja

Thanks. I'd found a few spell lists but they mainly only had original campaign spells and I think this is unique to MoTB?

Your help was awesome. :) And I'll note that link

Everyone is level 30 so I can't learn new spells. I need Superior Resistance to craft an item but no one has it. I've looked up the spell cheat console lists and it's not on them. I did get the impression from what I saw on Google that this spell was only released with MoTB, hence why it's not on the cheat lists.

Anyone know the console number for Superior Resistance?

Yeah he has the craft magic arms and armour and craft wonderous item feats. I tried to use the console to give Safiya the "Tortoise Shell" spell but it wouldn't do it because she isn't the right class. Gann has that spell but I can't cast his spells manually.

Obviously the game did mean for him to be the only one who could craft the item that needs that spell or they would have made Safiya able to learn it (unless they expect only ppl playing as Spirit Shamans to be able to do it but that seems a bit dumb as the item isn't specifically relevant to Spirit Shamans).

Anyway...

Gann has access to some spells that Safiya cannot learn, such as Tortoise Shell and some others. Therefore, the game must have intended him to be used for some crafting as some essences require spells to be used that only he can cast.

The problem is, resting is bad due to spirit eater meter going down and more need to feed, so I prefer to exhaust both their supplies of crafting spells before resting to refil and continue crafting.

At least that was my intention. I'm a fair way into the game and have saved all my essences & done many rounds of all shadow areas to gain more. However now I've started the process I've realised that I don't seem to be able to use Gann's spells to activate the cafting, in fact I can't cast his spells at all!

Any idea of the cause/solution/workaround?

The spoilers here are obtained from wikipedia and here:

http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NWN2GameInfo.Detail&id=121

From those 2 sources I have now ascertained that there is a golem room in act I, possibly in the caves, where you get a chance to show off some lore/spellcraft to Safiya and win influence. Umm... I've even reloaded saves and did find an extra book that gave me an earlier journal entry about the Betrayer Crusade quest but that's it! NO GOLEM.

Also both Wiki and other sites that I found googling nwn2 motb Golem, lead me to realise that I could have gone to the Red Wizard academy in Act I and did a bunch of things including buying Ammon Jerro's soul from the 'pit fiend' there.

However, I went straight from the caves (without meeting Golems) to Mulsindor Town and did a bunch of stuff including fighting the spirit army, which triggers Act II.

Should I cut my losses and restart or can I still go to the Academy next and even back to the caves to meet the Golems (if they're there at all in my version. I'm unable to update past version 1.3 I think I have, or maybe 1.2)

How are you liking MOTB? never did get round to playing it....Astaroth2k

It has good and bad points. It's supposed to be about 30 hours extra play time but the map looks to have about 10 locations and I've been playing 5 hours (I play thoroughly, exploring all loot & Dialogue) and I've been playing 5 hours while still in the second location (witch town Mul something). So that's good. More play time is a bonus IMO.

Also it feels harder on the fighting. You can get annihilated in some fights if you aren't a strong fighter or magician (I'm a level 15 rogue, 5 shadowdancer, 1 Neverwinter 9 & 1, Dualist). I actually had to use god mode to defeat one oponent Forovar from the Beserker's club. It turned out to be a rather unimportant fight for an unimportant club membership that only serves to net you a nifty anti-spirit sword that may help with the Bear Spirit fight coming up. Drinking Heal potions didn't seem to work as A)- he smashed me down harder than the heal potion helped so wiped me out between drinks and b)- even when I'm sure I won by having a little health from the potions when he got KOed, the 'referee' of the fight would still pronounce him the winner. I thought that was just a game bug until I won without heal potions in god mode.

The story is also darker. You wake up with a wound in the chest where the shard once was, and it seems some kind of soul eating spirit now lives inside you instead. Very early into the game you come across a torture table where you have a memory of people cutting you open alive, buried elbow deep in your blood while you're conscious. Luckily you've blocked this out until then. Around the same time you find out your companion's mum has been murdered and another person commited suicide by incineration and you keep being given closeups of the charred skeleton, which looks photographed from RL. But, I like gore LOLz.
