[QUOTE="Groman101"]I just re-applied the cooler for a fifth time... using a small thin line of as5.
Temps actually have gotten worse.

Never heard of using a line... The most common way is to dab the middle of the CPU (about the size of a bb) and then press the HSF onto it.animemog
That pic/diagram came directly from the AS5 website...
Hopefully it's just his CPU then. I didn't plan on applying my paste that way, but now I'm having second thoughts.
So, the Samsung 226BW just got deactivated @ newegg. Is this normal? Will it come back? :S

Edit - I just changed the monitor to the newer model.
The TX650w is non-modular, and has a slightly stronger single rail than the HX620w. The HX620w has three +12v rails capable of accepting a load of up to 600w (50a), while the TX650w has a single +12v rail capable of up to 52a. The TX650w also makes use of the new 6+2 pin standard, and I believe it actually puts out 150w at the connector, rather than just using ground plugs like some units.RayvinAzn
Thanks. So far I changed the PSU to the TX650w and also decided on the Klipsch speakers over the Logitechs. I think I'm staying with the Creative soundcard for now.
Auzentech uses the Creative software and I believe their drivers as well. I'm not a fan of Creative drivers myself, but they'll be just as good on the Auzentech as they will on the card you picked out.
The TX650w might be okay with the 9800GTX - I haven't seen any really conclusive reports on its power draw, but you might want something a little beefier (beefier than the HX620w too) if you plan on going SLI in the future.
I believe 790i might be offering DDR2 support at some point, but I haven't heard any conclusive evidence.
I agree that you should probably pick up a 2x2GB kit - even though you won't be able to use around .5-.7GB of it, you'll still have a lot more overhead, and it's more in keeping with the type of machine you're building.

Right now I'll just consider both sound cards. Unless this ASUS 5.1 sound card I saw at dailytech were to come out at around the same time of the 9800GTX.
I looked around and it appears 790i is DDR3 only as I originally thought. I believe I'll still keep it this way since I was really interested in this mobo. But, beforehand I was considering getting an asus striker II formula or something of the like.
Also, any big differences in the PSUs besides the wattage? I see some, but I'm not savvy enough to tell the biggest differences.
