Logitech X-530 70 watts RMS 5.1 Black Speaker System - OEM

Though I'd also suggest looking into some 2.1 speakers.

Logitech X-230 32 watts RMS 2.1 Black Speaker System - OEM

And these are my favorite

Logitech Z-2300 200 watts RMS 2.1 Speaker System - Retail

They used to have a rebate so they were about $90. Maybe Dell still offers it.

With a 2k budget, I'd build. If you're looking to build a computer now, I suggest you do it, because newer hardware is always coming out. Just do lots of research or if you know a friend that can build computers okay, that'd be fine.

With a prebuilt, you're not going to get as much performance with a budget such as that. Unless you're okay with a medium-range PC, pre-built will easily get you a high-range PC that'll last a while without upgrading. Just don't get a monitor over 22'' or so. You won't be able to get a $500+ GPU and $600+ monitor without bottlenecking them with something else. I suggest an 8800GT and a 19''-22'' monitor (samsung, benq, viewsonic, are some preferred companies) to start. For the CPU a Q6600 or Q9450... 780i mobo in case you SLi later. 2GB of cheap DDR2 with enough good feedback.

[QUOTE="subrosian"]I'll do my best to keep it updated. I'll post a "last updated" on my next update - it will generally be towards the weekend, since I'm prone to having exams the first part of the week.SimpJee

Thanks a lot man :D

Yeah, and now the 9800GTX. :o

Maybe you should date each video card entry and when you updated since I saw you mentioned the 9800 line being upcoming. Unless you're really on top of things and update small details like that. :)

I suggest using Opera ;)

I might try it with my new computer. Last I checked, it cost money. But now it looks like it's free.

My tower, right now, is in a little enclosure. I can't see the sides too well. And I vote no flashy stuff since sometimes I leave my computer on overnight and I have enough little lights on all the time.

I'd change the processor to an E6600 or if you want a quad-core, Q6600. Also, everything else looks good but I usually go with more popular companies. I'd look into a different brand in monitor like Samsung, but only because I know companies like them are trustworthy. Everything else looks all right, but I'll leave the rest of the nitpicking to others. :o

[QUOTE="LordEC911"]8800GTX beats the 9800GTX at high resolutions. No reason to buy an 8800Ultra or 9800GTX.firefox59

God bless your contributions to this site. No really, no sarcasm, or puns, or anything. Keep it up, Lord.

Lol, that did sound sarcastic but he's right. Lord knows his stuff. But have the real benchmarks for the 9800GTX come out yet? I thought it was just speculation at this point.

Well, considering the card comes out today.... April Fools?
