I did not know myself, wow missed this one by a mile. As far as Gears goes I am being very cautious because lately most of the high powered games have not been as high powered as they should have been with all the hype.
If there was a offline option some people could overlook the server issue. Even though EA may have tried to make things smooth before launch, there is always a chance that things may not work out no matter how well you plan. there should have been servers in reserve in the first place. Having to always have a online presence causes a lot of problems for us players and if ISP and the Publisher's servers are down we cannot enjoy what we paid for. I knew this was coming and still like to play it but we are concerned on how much work we put into our citied and how to save them from being lost when the servers goes down because starting from scratch can be mind blowing sometimes if it is more than twice. Do what you have to do so we can enjoy what we paid for EA.
They(Gearbox) should have not started on Aliens while they were working on Borderlands 2. They were more concerned with BL2 than Aliens and when BL2 was done they rushed the job and hoped WE(customers) would just let it slide. Gearbox is due for a reprimand if anything for putting Aliens out when it was half baked. Aliens look like a Dukem release.
@keldarironfist That would be nice, but the ability to get physical copies are starting to get far and between. Even if you can get one, that game will not run without a third party such as Steam or Origin, etc. As long as the internet improves/expand we are forced to go digital.
I believe MS will be okay, however, I have a Kinect and I do not even use it. As long as thier games have the option of not using it, it should do okay. Let Sony have it moment and MS will have thiers. I am getting both systems and more than likely they will have the same releases on both systems. I am just waiting for the prices to be released.
