@deadpeasant I agree with that, but why hype something you can't see unless you are blowing smoke.

I think showing the console is important being you are promoting it and if there is no console to show is nothing more than hype. The controller is nice but it is only one part of the puzzle and without the console it is worthless. I would rather wait for a prototype to be made than hype the crowd and show nothing. It is like "Where's the beef!"

AvM sold a lot during launch because of anticipation and how it was promoted. But some may seek refunds and as time moves on the numbers for AvM may drop. I cancelled my pre-order due to low scores and may pick it up when the price goes down. This is the trend hype the product even if it is half baked and see what falls Duke nukem had started it, The golden days of gaming has pasted a long time ago and most companies are more into pretty games than what makes a good game.

I see no problem with it especially in this day and time. Women can now be in combat units, so it is only fitting to allow a female lead in a game.

Just cancelled my pre-order and d++n I love Aliens. These days you have to be very careful what you preorder and it is very important(in most cases) to wait for reviews and if a demo will be available. Guess Gearbox is going for broke after this.

I rather wait until MS makes a official announcement before jumping to any conclusions. As states in the report it is heresay.
