@bdrtfm: Do you really think anyone is going to put together a deal to acquire a studio as big as EA in less than a month? EA must do it's fiduciary responsibility by making sure any potential suitors know there is an offer on the table, and the potential suitors have their own fiduciary responsibilities, there are a ton of things for the accountants and analysts to go over. And then there are the lawyers, they aren't going to skim through a multi-billion dollar deal over cocktails, everything must be absolutely ironclad. A purchase of EA would take months before a principle agreement was even in place, let alone an actual sale. These companies aren't going to a showroom and buying a car ffs.

Even this Bungie deal didn't start after MS bought Activision, it was likely going through the paces as far back as last summer.
