Alright so I have a PS3 and a Xbox 360 and one thing I always have is a wallpaper applied to both. I don't know if this affects anything, but I have the old Xbox (the 20gb version) and I noticed the wallpaper looks somewhat blurry. I sit close to my TV which is a 1080p 46", and with the PS3 my wallpapers look crystal clear, no matter the view distance. Yet, I can even tell the Xbox wallpaper looks blurry from a ways back. Both consoles are in 1080p mode and have the same wallpaper.

http://youtu.be/o921p4TIzH4 I started watching comparisons like the one above (of Skyrim) today showing the difference between PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. I'm sure everyone is ready for me to start hating away on console graphics since this is coming from a pretty dedicated PC gamer. Yet, I have to admit...I watched the Crysis 2 comparison as well as the Battlefield 3 comparison and to be honest, my dedication to fighting for PC domination has somewhat waned. I watched many other videos and other than Anti-aliasing and slightly better textures, there wasn't that HUGE of a difference. Sure, lack of AA does bother me but certainly not bad enough to completely lose interest in a game system. I certainly won't be stopping the love my N64 still gets in large amounts. True, 100% of why PC games aren't much further along graphically is because developers don't want to spend the money to make PC exclusive graphics features. The Witcher 2, Skyrim, Battlefield 3, these are some of the only games that pop to my head that have significantly different graphics. What do you all think about it?

I've got about 20 hours in it and I have to say it does get boring fast. Probably because I played MW2 so much and there isn't anything new here really. I will admit I've sunk a good chunk of those hours in survivor mode though. I'm liking it even more than zombies.

http://psvitaupdate.com/getvitaearly.php I wrote on this on my website actually. It comes with little deviants and a 4 GB memory card. Yet, you have to buy the 3G Vita. I imagine this is Sony's way of making up for the lesser sales they expect for the 3G model in the U.S.

I'm a somewhat knowledgeable web developer and I'm always trying to think of cool new ideas and I have to say this one's actually pretty good. :) As stated before I don't think you could charge people for the mods, but you could make it to where the creators could require the viewer to HAVE to go to their website to download the mod instead of directly from the services. Thus, generating them ad revenue. Organization is something the modding world lacks for the most part. There are tons of mods for Crysis that I always see people looking for and can't find. As well as many other games. Good idea man, wish I had of thought of it lol....

So far I've bought myself Skyrim, Modern Warfare 3, Battlefield 3, A $500 Sony Vaio laptop, and I plan on getting a 3DS as well. I feel that is a pretty satisfying Christmas. :)

[QUOTE="lordlunch2"]

Which do you all recommend? I'm more of a web developer and currently do HTML, CSS, PHP, and Javascript so I would think Java would be the way to go...but I have an equal interest in C# and would love to learn that side of things as well. What do you all think?

jockie_chan

don't be fooled by the words javascript, it has nothing to do with java apart from have the same 4 letters.

I know this lol, from what I can tell Javascript is the easiest crap alive compared to Java
