@SebCrakpot1234 Unfortunately, as much as I love my country, it has a lot of idiots in it who believe in absurd things. Like my second cousin who thinks she needs automatic weapons to protect herself from the UN. You know, the United Nations. With no standing army. Yeah. A lot of Americans have insane fears that the government is going to take over, and they need military grade technology to defend themselves against a non existent threat.

I have no problem with hunting rifles (for hunting) or simple pistols with 6 bullet clips (how many fewer kids would have died if the killer had had to reload after 6 bullets?) So basically our citizens get slaughtered by maniacs who are armed to the teeth all so that a bunch of moronic American plebes can feel like weekend warriors, prepared to defend themselves against the supposed tyranny of the Federal government and the United Nations. It makes no sense, but that's what happens in a democracy where you have a poorly educated population.

@sirvick But what are you really expecting from any shooter? Shooters are fun but they are limited by their format in what they can offer. You can spice things up with vehicles like Halo and BF or different killstreaks etc, or add some powers and RPG elements like in Borderlands but other than that, what else can you really do?

In Halo there are what, 3 alien species now, but you want different ones? In all of the Call of Duties, Battlefields, Medal of Honors etc, the enemies have been other humans. They might be from different countries but they are people all the same with guns that have slight variations. Are you ok fighting the same humans over and over but not ok fighting the same aliens?

At the end of the day, I don't see much point in complaining about shooters unless they are actually broken or severely flawed (like the recent Medal of Honors). They are not roleplaying or strategy games, two formats that lends themselves to diversity. I'm not saying anything is better than the other, my point is that I've never understood the heavy criticism shooters get based on their format. Unless you want to inject magic or powers into more shooters, guns will be guns with slight variations.

@PunkerXBlaze Agreed. Maybe Sony isn't aware of cell phones and tablets but they are currently destroying the handheld console market. 3DS was a failure and the Vita has also been a failure. I don't know anymore who owns a Vita and my friends who want one refuse to buy it at its current price. They are making a mistake by not lowering the cost and an even bigger mistake with the price of the memory cards. I bought a terabyte hard drive for my PC for $50.00 (on sale). How the hell can 32 GB cost $100? Sony is delusional.

@hellangel_boy Just don't spend anymore than the $60 to buy the game. Don't get any of the micro items or DLC. Seriously, DLC is so unnecessary. There are so many games to play, just move on to the next title once you beat whatever you're playing.

@spindrift_loop @XxTheEvilxX @Mr_Big_Boss The only solution is to stop buying DLC. You don't need the special set of armor to win and chances are that extra mission will suck so stop giving them your money.

@firehawk998 Yeah I was saying the same thing back when all of this started. The publishers are heading in the direction of making games episodic, which will mean consumers spending much more in the long run. This also ties in with everyone gleefully rushing to digital only, which means consumers lose control of their property and hand that power over to the publishers too. Without the used market to force publishers to try and be more competitive, the prices of games are only going to go up.

@Kravyn81 I feel exactly the same, but all I got back was what you just pointed out. You vote with your dollar and gamers voted yes on DLC and now there's basically no going back because people "have to have x item."
