[QUOTE="dxmcat"]Slamming the *** out of google to make every reply. Genuine wood is insanely stronger than MDF, especially if the furniture (structure) is built right. Heck, even Plywood is. MDF is chosen NOT because it is better, its used because its cheaper and can look like wood when you slap a veneer on it. So you're crossing a bridge.....do you pick the plywood board or the MDF? haha.

Wood warps, I'd cross the mdf bridge

[QUOTE="m3Boarder32"][QUOTE="dxmcat"]$1900 for MDF??????????? LOL. what a joke.dxmcat
I didn't pay anywhere near that, but to call BDI cheap and ikea or Target looking is laughable. BDI and Salamander are extremely well regarded at AVSForum.

MDF is cheap.

http://m.cnet.com/news/stand-and-deliver-bdi-home-theater-furniture/57575142 "If you're looking for beautifully built and intelligently designed stands, BDI's furniture should be on your short list." "Most of BDI's current designs feature medium-density fiberboard (MDF) construction, with gorgeous, real hardwood veneers. MDF is better than solid wood in these types of cabinets, real wood shelves bow or warp when heavy gear is placed on them for long periods of time. Cable management and routing are integral to the designs."

Yeah, you still aren't making sense.

Someone said that's why PC's don't belong in the living room.... I'm saying it's fine if you do it like me... (there is a PC behind the tinted glass)

Whilst that is kind of an eyesore... There are far better offerings, for a living-room PC.

what a shitty setup

It's mediocre at best.  Especially the speakers, which are just terrible.  To think, a few pages back he was bragging about having a better setup than all of us.
