has anyone played the demo in marketplacefor America's Army. I won't even say if this game is good or bad, I really want to see what people will say. is this game coming out for the PS3 also? is so and if there is a demo in PSN, please try it.LEGEND_C4A
This game is an advertisement for the US Army. It's basically just a recruiting tool to get you to sign up for service.
The game looks pretty awesome. It makes me wish I had a 360...
I'm wondering though. How could IGN give it a 9.4 with as many graphical gliches as they mentioned. A substantial part of the review is spent cataloging texture pops and collisiion errors.
It seems that fundamental graphics engine problems should keep it from scoring 9.0 in the graphics department at least.
Come on, the only good exculive the Xbox has is Halo 3(Which shall be ported with extra content anyday now, since Bungie left Micrlolsoft).
The only good thing the PC has is Crysis, and I have a friend who works in the industry to confirm that the PS3 version Crysis is under way with wayyy more content, mods like the PC, and better graphics(Cell,Blu-ray,etc).
Once people relize this they will finally know that the Playstation 3 is the only console needed(it may even sub for PC's one day)
So.....How long will it take for the PS3 to come with complete domince like the Playstaion "Over 110 million units sold" 2?

As a self-deprecating PS3 owner, I can answer your title question with one word: Games.
That being said, I don't own only a PS3, so it's less of a problem for me.
Framerate is a good indication of how well the developers balanced graphics vs gameplay, as well as their skill at developing for the given platform. I think it should be a critical issue in reviewing games, especially if it dips below 30fps during gameplay.
The implementation on some thrid party titles is lacking. Sometimes games only incorporate a random waggle to execute a special move (Marvel Ultimate Alliance). Otherwise all of the 1st party stuff is excellent, and the Wiimote adds incredibly to the experience. A lot of the thrid parties come through too, like Rayman.
i bought my ps3 today (80 gig)and i have a 360 as well. Unfortunately i have a standard def TV for now. As you all know, the ps3 comes with the standard cablesand i plugged it in and the graphics look like ps2!!!! will the AV cables help the picture even on a standard def tv?sixOHfour
Many SD TVS still have the compnent video cables (red/green/blue). If you have these ports on your TV, using a component cable would let you at least output 480p vs 480i with the included cables. As a bonus, the same cable will let you do 720p/1080i if you get an HDTV (but not 1080p)
If you don't have component inputs, perhaps you have an s-video input. There difference won't be as big as with the component cables, but it would still be better than the included composite cables.
