Would be nice for EA to give them some of the profits they earned to help... I wonder how long the contract says the game has to be out before they get paid

Wow! Finally! Most gamers in Australia (And New Zealand, not sure about others) are smart enough to import and find boutique retailers that do good deals now, but I used to be in awe over staring at a shelf of new games at EB Games all $100-120AU, when games in the US are $60US, and our dollar was and is either the same or a little stronger. I'm surprised in a nice way about this

Would have like to seen Van Ord review this one. Its a great game for the genre, but I found it kind of shallow in a strange way.. It feels rewarding, but then all those little rewards don't really have much meaning attached to them. I think I've gotten used to AAA stories driving the actions I'm doing

I agree. If I'm going to buy another console, I want to be impressed, the same way I was between the playstation/n64 to the ps2/xbox, to ps3/360. Its hard to imagine a 'leap' in visual and technical fidelity like that at the moment, though. But if the only thing a new console offers really is constant online connectivity and little 'services' associated with being online that don't really enhance the games I'm buying, may as well stick with the current generation. And by the way, looking incredible is not synonymous with bad storytelling. What about that demo by Quantic Dream, "Kara", that had some buzz a while ago? Its all about technical fidelity, but CONSUMED by emotionality and narrative.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-pF56-ZYkY

New games here in Australia cost $100 or $120.. Also 100US is like 88AU, seems like a fine price to me for whats offered

I expect a majority of the people who bought the 2 million copies that shipped were disappointed. The retailers that bought those 2 million copies to sell probably did so on the strength of the 'Resident Evil' namesake, I doubt they'd ask to ship as many for a sequel. What bothered me about this is that Capcom perceives their further venture towards taking the resident evil franchise into pure action territory as being rewarded
