I have this horrible part of me that hopes this sucks when it comes out so I can enjoy the fiery backlash. But I actually love this thing and I'm sure its in good hands
There's a huge uproar if an article is about feminism or sexist claims in the video game industry or among the gamer community, dismissing such things. And yet you come to a simple article like this about one person replacing another person's position in a company, that happens to a be a woman, and see all the ragingly sexist comments below. I'm actually embarrassed. At least I can save face by assuming the commenters are all impressionable underage teens and kids, repeating humourless things they've seen or heard others say, thinking they're being funny too.
I do understand where they're coming from, and they do innovate, galaxy, skyward sword, epic yarn. It makes sense from a business standpoint to match their new ideas with established IPs and characters, but I think they underestimate how exciting it would be to see a fresh character and world... But what do I know? For all I know Pikmin would have sold 10 times as much if they'd just made the main dude Mario
And I thought we got an 18+ classification? Why was that again? I'm pretty sure adults can tell the difference between taking drugs in a game and in real life. Apparently the government thinks they understand the difference between killing people in games and real life, so, why the double standard..
