Really? This again. These threads are annoying. Ten minutes from now Halo fans will have a thread about Killzone 3 being boring saying the excact same thing. Then Killzone fans will say the excact same as the Halo fans are saying now. Its bigger, has way more enemies, new weapons, this that and the other. They are only gonna look boring and the same as the oldes ones if your not a fan of the series. If your a fan of either you will know the changes that they are making to them.

genaroll

I'm not a halo fan but i know the changes that they are making.Your post makes no sense.

i never said you wouldnt know the changes if you were not a fan. I said it would only look boring and like the same game if you were not a fan. So actually your post makes no sense.

You say not to tell you that its a beta b/c this is how its going to play. Thats not true at all. A beta fixes bugs yes but it also lets you tell them what doesnt work. Everything you mentioned can be fixed. Hitmarkers, how many bullets it takes to kill someone, grenade radius, gun selection and so on. wait till its closer to release to judge it. All that said i dont think the game is goin to be that good. It looks like cod4. It also looks souless to me. Something just seems off to me. Hope im wrong though.

why does it have to be either? Just because its suppose to be exclusive doesnt mean sony can make them show up to e3. They are prob. just working on it and will let sony know when they have something they are ready to show. Sony will probably let Rockstar do what they please with thier game because im sure thats one company Sony wouldnt want to piss off.

I dont get it either. Great for people who wanted it but its not for me. its just gonna annoy me. Now instead of someone sending me 30 invites to a game i obviously dont want to play at the moment they are just gonna nag me on voice chat.

To answer your first question: It wasn't necessary to say "Are you kidding me?" and you really couldn't have just said RTCW?

Second question: I've played a lot of shooters, not just modern ones so excuse me if I forget about one that released almost a decade ago. That's also when shooters were actually good, and developed for fans. Now they're just developed for the casual market. Want to name one released this gen that is different? If I haven't been able to play many PC games this gen so I don't know about the PC front, but I'm 99% positive every console shooter has been SP=MP.

So maybe there are a few exceptions, I was wrong. For the most part, a large majority of shooters tend to carry SP gameplay elements over into MP. The reason a lot of people said they don't play SOCOM is because it's too difficult for them. (IE: Health system, and you need to use your brain) So why would they only dumb down the single player and not the multiplayer? Even if they add in a "hardcore" mode it's only going to further seperate the community, which is already seperated as it is.

i have a modern one for you. killzone 2. it had cover in the single player and wasnt in muliplayer. it also had regenerating health in the single player but not in the multiplayer.

health does regen in KZ2 multiplayer but not to full.

true, but you still use healthpacks. you get the point though. Just cause its in the single player doesnt mean it will be in the multiplayer

[QUOTE="jyoung312"] Probably b/c Socom's recent track record (confrontation bleh) and Socom 4 has been shown with the move and thus easily cast aside. That video was great. Game is supposedly 12-15hrs long, looks great, and we know zipper can do great with multiplayer. Hell, Zipper pulled off MAG, which as a game is good, but as a piece of tech is pretty amazing. Socom 4 really jumped up on my most anticipated list after that video. jyoung312

confrontation shouldnt count on "the track record". Thats like the next halo being made by some random developer and sucking. Then bungie says they are making a next gen halo and people sayin the last one sucked so this one will suck to. Zipper made socom and are now making a next gen version. i for one trust zipper but we will see.

Does MAG count on the track record? I always considered MAG a spiritual successor to Socom and it's a pretty cool game. There's nothing else really like MAG on consoles. very ambitious game. not great but very solid.

not towards socom cuz they are two diff games. But mag was still pretty good. not to mention mag doesnt have regen health either. Does any zipper game have regen health in the muliplayer? I just think people should hold off until we see multiplayer footage. Single player is way diff than multiplayer. A lot of people dont like having to worry about looking for "meds" in single player. Like i said before i trust zipper.

Name a shooter where the single player gameplay is completely different than the MP. I've played a lot of shooters and at the moment, can't recall a single one.

I love how forum kids will up their post count with nothing. Why are you answering a question with another question? You could've just named a few shooters to prove your point instead of upping your post count for whatever personal reasons you have.

SoGodly

Name one shooter ? now that's easy : Return To Castle Wolfenstein.

Why so personal in your second part ?

Answer me this: is all the shooters you play modern shooters ? than yes you might think that SP= MP
